Wet Grounds Further Postpone Suns and BayBears

Doubleheaders scheduled for Saturday and Sunday

MOBILE, Ala. - Friday night's second game of the series between the Jacksonville Suns (14-12, 44-52) and the Mobile BayBears (13-13, 45-51) has been postponed due to wet grounds for a second straight day at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Friday was originally scheduled to be a doubleheader, but due to field conditions was changed to one game at 8:05 p.m. ET before the infield was considered unsafe to play on, forcing the second straight postponement.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader, with the clubs playing two seven inning games on Saturday, with first pitch of game one starting at 6:05 p.m. ET (5:05 p.m. CT in Mobile). There will be a 30-minute intermission in between games one and two of the doubleheader. There will also be a doubleheader on Sunday for the fourth and fifth games of the series, and a start time for Sunday's games is 4:05 p.m. ET (3:05 p.m. CT in Mobile).

In game one the Suns will start right-hander Patrick Johnson (5-5, 3.92 ERA) against BayBears left-hander Josh Taylor (2-0, 0.96 ERA). In game two, the Suns will start left-hander Matt Tracy (1-1, 5.00 ERA) against BayBears right-hander Matt Koch (1-3, 5.17 ERA). Fans can listen to the games on the Suns Baseball Network, beginning at 4:50 p.m. ET with the pregame show "Suns On Deck" on FM 102.3 The Beach, the TuneIn Radio app, and www.jaxsuns.com.
