Walker would then steal second and DH Mitch Garver (1-3, RBI, 2 BB) would single into left for the Lookouts to give them a 4-0 lead.

In the top of the sixth, LF Jorge Soler (1-3, R, BB, 2 SO) would walk to start the inning followed by a double from DH Bijan Rademacher (1-3, 2B, RBI, BB, SO) to score Soler and cut the Lookouts' lead to 4-1, but that is all the scoring the Smokies would get

In the bottom of the sixth, the Lookouts would get that run back and more. RHP David Berg (0.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, BB) would replace Hedges and would walk Reginatto. RF Edgar Corcino (1-4, R) would single into center field followed by an infield single from Vielma, scoring Reginatto to make the Lookouts lead 5-1. Turner would then hit a ground-rule double to score Corcino. Michael would ground out in the frame to score Vielma and move the Lookouts' lead to 7-1. Granite would follow with a single to left field to score Turner and give Chattanooga an 8-1 lead. RHP Juan Paniagua (2.1 IP, 2 H, R, BB, SO) would come in to finish the rest of the inning and later concede a run.
