BIRMINGHAM, AL -- The Birmingham Barons broke back into the win column tonight, capturing a 3-1 victory over the Chattanooga Lookouts in front of 6,185 fans at Regions Field.

Chris O'Dowd came through with the decisive runs, slugging a two-run double off the wall in right field to break a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning. Brett Lawrie, on a rehab assignment from the Chicago White Sox, scored along with Trey Michalczewski.

Michalczewski, the White Sox no. 7 prospect, scored Lawrie for Birmingham's first run with an RBI double in the first inning.

Lawrie, who has started 94 games with Chicago this season, finished 2-for-3 with a double and a HBP in addition to his two runs. Tonight was his first Southern League game since the 2010 season when he was a member of the Huntsville Stars.

Spencer Adams spun seven innings for his first AA victory, allowing one unearned run and four hits while recording four strikeouts.

Brian Clark closed the game for his fourth save of the season, allowing no walks and one hit while recording five strikeouts in two innings of work.

James Dykstra starts the penultimate game of the series tomorrow afternoon at Regions Field. First pitch is slated for 3:00 p.m.
