JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The FUNdamentally Different 2016 Jacksonville Suns season presented by EverBank continues Monday, Aug. 22, through Friday, Aug. 26. The Suns host the Chattanooga Lookouts, Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins for a five-game series with a promotional lineup including the following highlights:

 

Tickets benefit American Red Cross for Louisiana Floods Relief Fund

The Suns are joining their fellow Marlins affiliate, the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs, in donating to the American Red Cross "Louisiana Floods" relief fund. For each home game Monday, Aug. 22, through Thursday, Aug. 25, $1 from every ticket purchased at the box office walk-up windows on game day will be donated.

 

MiLB CommUNITY initiative

Along with teams across Minor League Baseball (MiLB) that provide a place of fun and enjoyment, the Suns will promote unity and community action by taking special half innings throughout the Aug. 22-26 homestand to visibly create an environment of understanding, acceptance and inclusion among all fans, players and staff members.

VyStar Credit Union Charity Begins at Home with City Year Jacksonville: Through ticket sales and the Launch-A-Ball promotion, the local nonprofit will raise awareness and funds for its mission to help students reach their full potential and graduate high school (more at cityyear.org/jacksonville). VyStar Credit Union Charity Begins at Home features a different local nonprofit at each Suns Monday home game.

Bark in the Park: Suns mascot Southpaw will have company as the canines come to the ballpark. Dogs get in free to the ballpark with a paying human companion, and dogs can run the bases after the game. There will also be select dog-free zones around the ballpark.

First Coast News Night: Look for weekly unique features from First Coast News around the ballpark each Monday.

Marlins Monday: Fans can enter to win tickets to see the Suns' major league affiliate, the Miami Marlins!

Jax Jams Series (Lynyrd Skynyrd theme): The pregame and in-game soundtrack - including music videos and in-game contests - will have a theme celebrating the Jacksonville-originating band Lynyrd Skynyrd.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 23, 7:05 p.m. (Gates open at 6 p.m.)

Community First Credit Union Two-For-Tuesdays: Tickets are 2-for-1 at the box office for Community First Credit Union members using their CFCU credit or debit card.

Miller Lite and Coors Lite 2sDay: Fans can purchase $2 24-oz. Miller Lite and Coors Lite adjacent to the new Tiki Terrace and behind section 115.

"Go Green with the Suns" Irish Heritage Night: Fans who wear green can get 2-for-1 tickets at the box office. Enjoy Irish music by JFRD Pipes & Drums and Spade McQuade, plus dancing by Legacy Irish Dance Academy. Fans 21 and older can taste the Suns' green beer and enter to win a whiskey basket from Fionn MacCool's Irish Pub.

 

Wednesday, Aug. 24, 7:05 p.m. (Gates open at 6 p.m.)

Military Appreciation Night presented by Navy Mutual: Active military and veterans and their immediate families receive free general admission or reserved tickets. Active military or veteran ID must be presented at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville box office to receive free tickets in advance or on the game date.

Underwood's Date Night: Bring a date and get a pair of tickets, two hot dogs, two drinks and popcorn for just $20 at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville box office. Watch for the Kiss Cam!

Underwood's Date Night Diamond Dig: Fans 21 and over may enter for a chance to participate in a Diamond Dig, in which a select number of contestants will dig through an ice trough to find the "diamonds". From among the finalists, one lucky fan will win a $5,000 Forevermark® diamond.

Meet Robby Hayes from "The Bachelorette": The runner-up from the latest season of "The Bachelorette" will take pictures with fans on the concourse.

VyStar Credit Union Charity Begins at Home with American Lung Association: Through ticket sales and the Launch-A-Ball promotion, the local nonprofit will raise awareness and funds for its mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease (more at lung.org). VyStar Credit Union Charity Begins at Home features a different local nonprofit at Suns home games throughout the season.

Jacksonville Transportation Authority Night: The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is a supporting sponsor of Wednesday's game.

Mavericks Live Thirsty Thursday fueled by Budweiser: Fans can purchase $1 12-oz. and $2 24-oz. beers adjacent to the new Budweiser Tiki Terrace, under the left-field video board, at the right-field bleachers, and behind section 115.

Fifth Third Bank Stand Up To Cancer Night: On special placards to be distributed at the ballpark, fans will have the opportunity to write the names of people for whom they are standing up to cancer. Everyone in the ballpark will be invited to stand and show their placards for an extended video board camera shot during a designated half inning.

NAPA Family Fireworks presented by NAPA Auto Care Center: At every Friday home game, the Suns have postgame NAPA Family Fireworks!

Red Shirt Friday: Fans are encouraged to wear red to support the military and save $1 per ticket at the box office, or donate the $1 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The Suns are wearing red jerseys for every Friday home game this season.

Football Night in Jacksonville presented by Budweiser: The Suns will give away a pair of tickets to eight of the biggest gridiron games this fall; each fan will be able to enter the drawings - with eight chances to win! Jacksonville Jaguars mascot Jaxson de Ville will be at the ballpark, along with former Jaguars players.

Darley's Plumbing Bold City Rally Rag Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Suns-themed Bold City Rally Rag, courtesy of Darley's Plumbing.
