IronPigs Open Series at Pawtucket

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will open a two-game set with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Wednesday night at McCoy Stadium. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Nick Pivetta (0-0, 1.64) gets the ball for the Pigs on Wednesday night. Pivetta got a no-decision on Thursday at Syracuse when he allowed three hits while walking two and fanning nine over six shutout innings. The right-hander was 11-6 with a 3.41 ERA in 22 GS with Double-A Reading this season.

RHP Justin Haley (7-4, 3.92) will toe the rubber for Pawtucket opposite Pivetta. Haley was tagged with the loss on August 17 vs. the Pigs when he surrendered nine runs on eight hits to go along with one walk in 2.0 IP. Prior to the start against the IronPigs, the Fresno State product had not allowed a run in his last three starts.

After a two-hit game on Tuesday, Pigs 1B Brock Stassi is now hitting .366-3-9 in his last 14 games (15-41, 2 2B, 7 BB, 7 R).
