IronPigs Begin Series at Buffalo

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will begin a four-game set with the Buffalo Bisons on Friday night at Coca-Cola Field. First pitch of the series opener is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP David Buchanan (8-8, 4.13) will be on the bump for the Pigs in the series opener. Buchanan got a no-decision on Saturday at Syracuse when he gave up four runs on five hits while walking three and fanning six in six innings of work. The Atlanta native is 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA in two starts against Buffalo this season.

LHP Scott Diamond (8-13, 4.12) gets the ball for the Bisons opposite Buchanan on Friday night. Diamond was tagged with the loss on Sunday at Charlotte after giving up eight runs on 12 hits to go along with a walk and two strikeouts in 4.0 IP. In four starts against the Pigs this season, Diamond is 0-4 with a 7.43 ERA.

IronPigs RHP Luis Garcia is now unscored upon in his last 13 games after getting the final four outs on Thursday. During that stretch, Garcia has allowed six hits while fanning 12 in 12.1 IP.
