The El Paso Chihuahuas began their eight-game road trip with a 14-5 win over the Salt Lake Bees Tuesday night at Smith's Ballpark. El Paso chased Salt Lake starter Vicente Campos after one inning and have now scored eight earned runs against Campos in three innings this season.

El Paso surged ahead with four runs in a nine-batter sixth inning. It was an unexpected rally, as the first two batters were retired before the next six reached base. The Chihuahuas piled up 17 hits in the win, their fifth time reaching double digit hits in their last nine contests. Rafael Ortega went 4-for-5 with two RBIs, his second four-hit game in the last five days. One day after being named Pacific Coast League Player of the Week, Christian Villanueva went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs.
El Paso hit four home runs Tuesday to set a new season high. Rocky Gale caught two Bees trying to steal and has thrown out 42 percent of attempted base stealers this season.
