KISSIMMEE, FL - The Daytona Tortugas doubleheader against the Florida Fire Frogs was postponed Wednesday night at Osceola County Stadium due to weather. There will now be a doubleheader on Thursday, with the series becoming a three game set. The Tortugas are now scheduled to play 67 games in the first half of the season.
Game one of Thursday's doubleheader will begin at 3:05 PM, with game two commencing 30 minutes after the completion of the first game. Each game will be seven innings in length. They will be the final games for Daytona prior to the All-Star Break.
Despite not playing Wednesday, the Tortugas made up a full game in the standings with Clearwater dropping both ends of their twin-bill. Daytona is now a half game out of first place with six games left on their first half schedule. Wednesday was the eighth rain out for Daytona in the last 26 days, with seven coming on the road.
