Summary
Jiandido Tromp was 3-4 with a double and home run and Chance Numata was 3-5 with two RBI to pace Reading 11-2 over Akron Wednesday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Turning Point
Reading's Jiandido Tromp hit a solo homerun in the third inning followed by an RBI force-out by Andrew Pullin to give the Fighin Phils an early 2-0 lead. Reading would go on to score three runs in the fourth inning and four more in the fifth to extend the lead 9-0.
Winging It
Lefty Luis Lugo was tagged for 11 hits, giving up eight runs, seven of which were earned in 4.1 innings in a losing effort. Reading starter Brandon Leibrandt worked his way through six strong innings of shutout baseball. Leibrandt surrendered seven hits, two walks, seven strikeouts and no runs in a winning effort. In relief for the Ducks, Perci Garner worked 1.2 innings allowing one run on two hits, striking out three. Neil Holland threw two innings giving up two runs on four hits.
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks offense had 10 hits on the evening but didn't get on the scoreboard until Yu Chang smacked his 15th home run of the season, a two-run shot in the ninth. Akron finished the night 1-7 with runners in scoring position. Eric Haase was 3-3 with two doubles and third basemen Jorma Rodriguez was 2-4. The Reading offense smashed 17 hits in the game as every batter in their lineup had at least one hit.
Notebook
Pitcher Michael Peoples has been received back from Columbus… In five starts with Akron this season he was 1-2, with a 4.45 ERA… To make room for Peoples, reliever Leandro Linares has been transferred back to Lynchburg… Time of Game: 2:47… Attendance: 7,706
