BOWIE, Md.- A three-run fourth lifted the Bowie Baysox (53-46) to their third straight win, a 5-2 victory over the Altoona Curve (49-48) on a rainy Saturday night at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie.

The Baysox got on the board with the afore-mentioned three-run fourth as Austin Hays started the inning with a solo shot off of Curve starter Cody Dickson , Ryan Mountcastle plated a run via a sac fly and Erick Salcedo delivered the final run of the frame with an RBI groundout.
Hays' home run was his eighth of the year with Bowie and extended his hitting streak to a Baysox season-high 13 games. The 13 gamer is the longest for a Baysox since Julio Borbon hit in 14 straight from July 4-August 3, 2016.
Dickson (1-3) allowed the three runs on five hits to go along with two walks and two strikeouts in four innings of work.
Logan Hill's solo shot in the sixth off of Baysox RHP Jordan Kipper put the Curve on the board and cut the lead to 3-1.
DJ Stewart's two-run blast in the seventh off of RHP Casey Sadler (4.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K) extended the Baysox lead to 5-1. The home run was Stewart's 12th of the season.

Making his Baysox debut, Kipper (1-0) allowed two runs on four hits to go along with a walk and three strikeouts in five innings of work. RHP Scott McGough (1.0 IP, K) retired the side in order in the ninth to notch his fifth save of the year.
