Hadley Smashes First Professional Homer

Ogden, UT-The Voyagers scored five times in the 6th and banged out 17 base hits in an 11-6 victory over the Ogden Raptors Wednesday night at Lindquist Field.

Ogden, UT-The Voyagers scored five times in the 6th and banged out 17 base hits in an 11-6 victory over the Ogden Raptors Wednesday night at Lindquist Field.

With the win, Great Falls (21-31, 6-8) ended a three-game slide and stamped out Ogden's six-game winning streak. The Voyagers are 2-4 on the current road trip and 3-3 in the season series with the Raptors. Ogden (33-20, 10-5) also had its 10-game home winning streak come to a close. The Raptors lead the series 2-to-1 heading into the finale Thursday night.
Ogden took an early lead with a single mark in the 1st. Rylan Bannon doubled to the left field corner and then scored on a Romer Cuadrado RBI single lined into right. Great Falls scored twice in the 2nd for a 2-1 lead. Tracy Hadley led off with a walk. Nolan Brown reached on a bunt single. With one out, Amado Nunez drove in both runners with a double to the gap in right-center.
Both sides exchanged three-run home runs in the 3rd. After Anthony Villa walked and Franklin Reyes singled, Tracy Hadley launched a drive deep into the left field corner that cleared the wall for his first professional homer and a 5-1 Voyagers lead. In the home half, Luis Paz whacked his 12th of the season high and deep to right-center. It scored Rylan Bannon and Romer Cuadrado in front of Paz for a 5-4 game. Bannon was hit by a pitch and Cuadrado singled.
Great Falls broke it open with a five-run top of the 6th. Max Dutto started it with his league-leading 38th walk. Logan Taylor was hit by a pitch. David Cronin scored the first run of the inning on a single lined into left. A sac fly from Anthony Villa scored Taylor from third and it was 7-4. With one out, Tracy Hadley walked and Nolan Brown singled to center. Cronin and Hadley both scored on wild pitches. Nate Nolan made it 10-4 with a double to the gap in right-center that scored Brown. The Voyagers final run of the night came on a Cronin RBI double in the 7th.
The Voyagers outhit the Raptors 17-to-10. David Cronin finished 4-for-6 with two RBIs and a run scored. Logan Taylor and Nolan Brown each had two hits with two runs. Anthony Villa, Franklin Reyes, and Amado Nunez all posted two-hit games as well. Rylan Bannon and Gersel Pitre both had two hits with two runs for Ogden.
Fernando Gallegos picked up the win in relief for Great Falls. Gallegos (1-2) went two innings and gave up one earned run on three hits with two strikeouts and no walks. Edwin Uceta took the loss for Ogden. Uceta (1-3) lasted just three innings and allowed five earned runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and three walks.
