Packed Homestand Includes Fireworks, Giveaways, & Float for the Fund

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds return home to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for a six game homestand from Tuesday, August 22nd through Sunday, August 27th that includes a three game series with the Hickory Crawdads, affiliate of the Texas Rangers, followed by a three game series against the Charleston

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds return home to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for a six game homestand from Tuesday, August 22nd through Sunday, August 27th that includes a three game series with the Hickory Crawdads, affiliate of the Texas Rangers, followed by a three game series against the Charleston RiverDogs, affiliate of the New York Yankees.
On Tuesday, August 22nd the Shorebirds start the homestand with McDonald's Two for Tuesday. Bring a McDonald's receipt to the box office for a buy one, get one free offer on Shorebirds Upper Reserved tickets. In addition, for each receipt redeemed at the Shorebirds box office, the Shorebirds will donate $1 to the Ronald McDonald House. Tuesday also includes unlimited 25 cent hotdogs. Fans can enjoy a delicious hotdog for just a quarter each all night long.
Wednesday, August 23rd is the final Silver Slugger Wednesday game of the season, presented by Coastal Home Care. The Silver Slugger program is limited to Shorebirds fans that are age 55 and over. Also, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will be able to play Baseball Bingo.
The final hat giveaway of the season will be on Thursday, August 24th as the first 500 fans through the gates will receive an orange and white hat, presented by Spicer Bros. Construction, Inc. In addition, it's KISS 95.9 Thirsty Thursday, presented by University Village at Salisbury. Fans over the age of 21 can enjoy 16 oz. cans of Miller Lite and Coors Light; as well as, 16 ounce Pepsi fountain drinks for just $2. The Shorebirds will be sporting their Maryland Pride jerseys so be sure to show your support by rocking your own Maryland Pride gear. The Maryland Pride Jerseys will be auctioned off during the game.
The Shorebirds welcome the Charleston RiverDogs to town for the weekend on Friday, August 25th. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive an envelope containing cash for the Bank of Delmarva Money Giveaway. Cash awards will begin at $1, with one lucky fan winning a grand prize of $500. There will also be a great Q105 Fireworks show after the game, presented by Maryland EXCELS. Fans over 21 years of age can enjoy 32 oz. Miller Lite & Coors Light draft beers for $6 with Froggy 99.9 Big Beer Friday. The team will be wearing their Orange Friday jerseys so make sure to show your support by wearing orange.
Gates will open at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 26th so that fans can watch the Shorebirds' and RiverDogs' batting practice. Stick around after the game for a fantastic Q105 Fireworks show on Saturday, August 26th, presented by Pohanka of Salisbury.
The homestand concludes on Sunday, August 27th with the Shorebirds' Annual Float for the Fund, presented by Georgeo's Italian Ice and Mug Root Beer. For $5, fans can enjoy All You Can Enjoy Root Beer and Cheerwine Floats. The proceeds will benefit the Shorebirds' Fly Together Fund. The Shorebirds will be hosting kids from participating Maryland libraries who completed the Summer Reading Program, presented by Maryland529. It is also a Perdue Strike Out Hunger Sunday. Bring 2 canned food items to the Shorebirds box office and receive an upper reserved ticket for $3. All collected items will be donated to the local area food banks. Kids can run the bases after the game, thanks to Chili's Grill & Bar.
From Tuesday, August 22nd to Friday, August 25th, gates will open at 6:00 PM with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. Gates open at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 26th with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. On Sunday, August 27th, gates open at 4:00 PM with first pitch scheduled for 5:05 PM.

The Delmarva Shorebirds are the Class "A" Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The Shorebirds are owned by

The Shorebirds celebrated their 20th season in 2015, and have entertained over five million fans since beginning play at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, Md. in 1996.
