Summary
Hartford's Mylz Jones slugged a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning, and closer Matt Pierpont notched his league-leading 10thsave, as the Yard Goats defeated the Akron RubberDucks, 7-5, Thursday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford, Conn.

Turning Point
Akron held a 5-4 lead going to the bottom of the sixth, but the Yard Goats rallied against Ducks starter Shao-Ching Chiang (3-1). Brendan Rodgers ripped a one-out, solo home run to .left field to tie the game. After a walk to Brian Mundell, Jones belted a two-run shot, also to left, to give the Goats a 7-5 advantage. It was Jones' fourth of the year.
Mound Presence
Chiang lasted seven inning in his first loss of the season. He allowed only six hits, but three were home runs. Anthony Phillips also connect of Chiang when he drilled a three-run shot in the second inning. Chiang entered the game having not allowed a homer in his first seven starts (39 innings).
Duck Tales 
The RubberDucks (22-18) took a 1-0 lead in the second on Connor Marabell's fifth homer of the season off Peter Lambert. After Phillips's three-run blast gave Hartford a 3-1 lead, the Ducks responded with three runs in the third inning to take a 4-3 lead. Willi Castro had an RBI single, Joe Sever followed with a sacrifice fly and Bobby Bradley chipped in an RBI double. After Hartford tied it in the third, 4-4, Kai'ai Tom led off the Akron fifth with a double, moved to third on a single by Andrew Calica and scored on a grounder by Castro for a 5-4 Akron lead.
Notebook
Lambert (2-1) picked up the win despite giving up five earned runs in six innings…Three Hartford relievers combined on scoreless baseball, including Pierpont, who tossed a perfect ninth to post his 10thsave which is the most in the Eastern League…New Philadelphia native Logan Cozart is a reliever for Hartford, and he tossed a scoreless eighth to set up Pierpont…The Ducks dropped to 0-4 all-time at Dunkin' Donuts Park…Time of game: 2:19… Attendance: 4,483.
