Summary
Akron's Zach Plesac threw shutout baseball for nearly six innings in his Double-A debut, and Daniel Salters homered, as the RubberDucks completed a four-game sweep of the Trenton Thunder with a 1-0 victory Thursday afternoon at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio.

Turning Point
The RubberDucks (28-19) scored the only run of the game in the second inning when catcher Daniel Salters stroked a two-out, solo homer to right field off Brain Keller (4-3). It was Salters' second of the year.
Mound Presence
Plesac (1-0) was sensational in his first appearance at the Double-A level. The right-hander out of Crown Point, Indiana, worked 5.2 innings without allowing a run. He surrendered only two hits, walked none and struck out eight. At one point, Plesac retired 12 consecutive Trenton hitters. Relief help came from Jordan Milbrath (2.1 IP) and Argenis Angulo (1.0 IP). Milbrath fanned five, and Angulo recorded a perfect ninth to secure his third save and the team's fourth shutout.
Duck Tales
Salters was 2-3 for the RubberDucks, who managed just seven hits off Keller and reliever Matt Frawley. Dorssys Paulino had the only other extra-base hit when he tripled in the fifth.
