Almonte Walks It Off, Braves Win 5-4

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves edged the West Virginia Power Monday evening at State Mutual Stadium 5-4 in walk-off fashion before a crowd of 1,408. The Braves and Power split their four game series. An RBI single by Robbie Glendenning in the first inning gave West Virginia an early 1-0

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves edged the West Virginia Power Monday evening at State Mutual Stadium 5-4 in walk-off fashion before a crowd of 1,408. The Braves and Power split their four game series. 
An RBI single by Robbie Glendenning in the first inning gave West Virginia an early 1-0 lead. The Braves tied the contest in the bottom of the inning on Trey Harris's sacrifice fly RBI and took a 2-1 lead in the second thanks to Justin Dean's single to score a run. The Power took the lead in the ninth with three runs on Lolo Sanchez's RBI single and a throwing error by Marcos Almonte sending two more runs across the plate for the 4-2 score. 
Rome mounted a comeback in the bottom of the ninth. AJ Graffanino doubled to start the inning, his fourth hit of the game, and Jefrey Ramos walked putting runners on first and second. Drew Lugbauer then singled to score Graffanino and Trey Harris was hit by a pitch to load the bases. With one out in the inning, Almonte quickly made up for the error and singled home two runs to give Rome the 5-4 walk-off win. 
Zach Daniels (1-1) gets the win in relief and a blown save. Drew Fisher (2-2) is hit with the loss for West Virginia.
