Peacock, d'Arnaud rise to the top
d'Arnaud, a Blue Jays prospect, was named MVP. He's batting .317 (126-for-398) with 32 doubles, 19 homers, 71 RBIs, 70 runs scored and a league-best .545 slugging percentage. The 22-year-old also leads all active Eastern Leaguers with a .923 OPS.
Peacock posted a league-best 10 wins before earning a promotion to Triple-A Syracuse. The Nationals' top pitching prospect is 14-3 with a 2.48 ERA between the two levels and is tied for second in wins in the Minors. He ranks sixth with 170 strikeouts.
Peacock twice won Eastern League Pitcher of the Week honors and threw a scoreless frame for the U.S. team in the All-Star Futures Game. He won seven decisions over eight starts in one stretch, prompting the promotion to Triple-A, where he's 4-1 with a 3.56 ERA.
Both d'Arnaud and Peacock were named to the Eastern League postseason All-Star team, which was announced Thursday.
