Over the six games, Great Lakes scored 48 runs, two off a record in a six-game series. In 50 innings this week, the Loons gave up 12 runs, the least in a six-game set since they permitted 11 to Beloit over 50 innings from May 4th to May 8th, 2022.

Noah Miller led with three RBI, mashing a two-run home run 360 feet to right-center field to make it 2-0 before the game’s first out. The Dodgers No. 26 prospect roped a double to center field to bring the score to 6-3 in the eighth. Both times driving in Alex Freeland. Freeland went 2-4 with a go-ahead RBI single in the sixth, his 1.142 OPS is the best in the Midwest League.

For a second straight game, Thayron Liranzo went yard. The Dodgers No. 7 prospect demolished a ball to the concourse beyond the right field fence, a two-run shot 401-feet. Liranzo has driven in seven runs in the last two games.

Great Lakes starter Jacob Meador finished four innings for the first time in 2024. He stranded four runners and struck out two.

Fort Wayne tied the game up at three in the fifth. Jumping on Brandon Neeck with three straight singles, two runs plated by Devin Ortiz. Christian Suarez completed the frame, leaving two on. In the sixth inning, he loaded the bases with no outs but came back to strikeout two. Suarez fielded a ground ball beating Ortiz to first to end the inning and keep the lead.
