North Little Rock, AR-A dominant pitching effort led the Arkansas Travelers to a 3-1 win over the Tulsa Drillers in the opening game of the final homestand of the regular season on Tuesday night. Williams Pérez limited Tulsa to four hits over seven innings in earning his sixth win in 11 starts this season. It was the fourth consecutive win for Perez who has allowed only one run in each of those outings while pitching at least six innings each time. Matt Tenuta and David McKay combined for five strikeouts over two scoreless innings. McKay earned his first save of the season and of his pro career. Kyle Lewis provided all the necessary offense with a booming three-run homer down the left field line in the fourth inning. The win pulls the Travs to within a game and a half of the Drillers for the second half division lead.
