2016: Appeared in 22 games (10 starts) with TOR and in 82 games with Triple-A Buffalo. In his final 43 minor league contests (beginning 5/18), batted .288 (40-for-139) with a .392 OBP. TOR went 6-4 in his starts, each of which came in to the ML roster on 6/24 and appeared in 19 games with the Jays before being designated for assignment on 7/25. Selected again on 8/10 and played in 3 more ML games. Designated for assignment on 8/16 and spent the remainder of the season with Buffalo. Following the season, batted .264 (46-for-174, 10 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR) with a .354 OBP in 48 games for Oriente in the Dominican Winter League. Had a 13-game hitting streak from 11/9-29.

2015: Began the season in the CHC organization before being traded to BAL in exchange for RHP Tommy Hunter on 7/31. Made appearances for both ML clubs and their Triple-A affiliates. Hit .312 with a career-best .405 OBP in 73 minor league games (77-for-247, 13 2B, 7 HR, 40 BB). Appeared in 21 games (12 starts) over 2 stints with CHC before the trade. Played in 8 games (5 starts) over 3 stints with BAL. Each of his 3 hits with the Orioles was a double. Following the season, hit .255 (27-for-106) in 30 games with Oriente in the Dominican Winter League.  

2014: Made his 1st career Opening Day roster and appeared in 108 games (70 starts) with the Cubs. Batted .280 and slugged .477 in his first 43 games through 5/23 (37-for-132, 9 2B, 3B, 5 HR), but hit .159 (28-for-176) in his remaining 65 games. Had a career-high 6 RBI on 5/12 at STL. Following the season, hit .243 (34-for-140) in 42 games with Oriente in the Dominican Winter League.

2013: Ranked as the Cubs' No. 9 prospect by MLB.com entering the 2013 season. Made ML debut, appearing in 64 games with the Cubs. Missed the first 2 months of the season on the minor league disabled list (4/4-6/5) due to a rib fracture. Recalled by CHC on 7/19 and spent the remainder of the season with the big league club. His 67 hits after the All-Star break ranked 2nd among NL rookies and 4th among all rookies. Made ML debut on 7/19 at COL and went 3-for-4 as the starting CF. Hit safely in his first 7 ML games. Had 34 hits in his first 25 games, 3rd-most for any Cub behind Mandy Brooks in 1925 (41) and Andy Pafko in 1933-34 (35).
Following the season, hit .343 (36-for-105) in 27 games for Oriente in the Dominican Winter League. 

2012: Spent entire season with Double-A Tennessee, batting .279 (113-for-405) with 10 HR and 50 RBI. On the 7-day disabled list from 4/5-5/5 with a back strain. Following the season, hit .312 (48-for-154) in 44 games for Oriente in the Dominican Winter League.

2011: Hit .279 (124-for-445) between High-A Daytona and Double-A Tennessee. Led Cubs minor leaguers with 38 steals...Named a Florida State League mid-season All-Star. Promoted to Double-A on 5/30...On the 7-day disabled list from 7/10-23 with a right shoulder strain. Following the season, played for Mesa in the Arizona Fall League and was named to the Top Prospects Team after leading the league in steals (18-for-18). Tabbed AFL Player of the Week on 10/24. Added to the Cubs' 40-man roster on 11/18...Played in only 2 games for Oriente in the Dominican Winter League. Led the Arizona Fall League with 18 steals in 18 attempts for Mesa in 2011.

2010: Hit .264 (104-for-394) in 120 games with Single-A Daytona. 7 of his 9 HR were hit in July.
Following the season, went 3-for-9 (.333) in 6 games for Oriente in the Dominican Winter League. 

2009: Hit .248 (115-for-463) in 131 games for Single-A Peoria. Following the season, went 7-for-20 (.350) in 5 games for Oriente in the Dominican Winter League.

2008: Batted .286 (48-for-168) in 47 games for the Rookie-level Arizona League Cubs.

2007: Made his professional debut with the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League Cubs.

Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chicago Cubs on Feb. 2, 2007.
