2017: Spent the season with Bowie, where he hit .260 with five home runs, 16 doubles and 47 RBI in 121 games... Had 25 multi-hit games for the Baysox, including four games with at least three hits... Set a career-high with six RBI - including a walk-off single - in a 6-5 win vs. Erie, 5/2 (4-5, HR, 6 RBI, R)... Hit .310 (36-116) with runners in scoring position, including .340 (17-50) with RISP and two outs.. Connected for five home runs, surpassing his previous Minor League total (three)... Opened season with a nine-game hitting streak, over which he hit .302 (10-33) with two RBI... Led team with two walk-off hits: 5/2 vs. Erie and 6/4 vs. Altoona... Connected on first career grand slam, 5/18 at Harrisburg... Appeared defensively at second base (19 G) and shortstop (104 G), posting a .969 fielding percentage (15 errors, 487 TC)... 2016: Was acquired by the Orioles in a trade with the Angels on 3/30... Spent his first season in the Orioles organization with Class-A Frederick... 2011: Saw action in 38 games with the DSL Angels, where he hit .241 (26-108) with six extra-base hits and 16 RBI... Was 3-3 with a double, RBI, and run scored against the DSL Tigers on 5/30.
2010: Started his professional career with the DSL Angels of the Dominican Summer League... Had at least two hits in his final three games of the season... His first extra-base hit was a double against the DSL Tigers on 6/28.
PERSONAL: Erick Joe (Ventura) Salcedo was acquried by Baltimore in a trade with the Los Angeles Angels, in exchange for LHP Chris Jones, on 3/30/16...Was originally signed by the Angels as an international free agent on 4/14/10... His hometown is Valencia, Venezuela, the same town that produced 2015 World Series MVP Salvador Pérez and 2010 A.L. Cy Young winner Félix Hernández.
