2019
♦ Split the season between the Philadelphia and Baltimore systems after a midseason trade. Went 3-5 with a 4.94 ERA over 17 games (16 starts) at the minor league level and 1-2 with a 6.50 ERA in 10 games (four starts) for Baltimore. 
♦ Made his first 10 appearances of the campaign between Double-A Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Was 0-3 with a 6.28 ERA in six starts at Reading before going 1-1 with a 2.77 ERA and 23 strikeouts over 26.0 innings in four starts for the IronPigs. 
♦ Earned a win in his Norfolk debut on 6/13 vs. Scranton/WB (7.0 IP, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 K).
♦ Combined to post a 3.71 ERA over five starts between Lehigh Valley and Norfolk in June.
♦ Went 3-1 with a 3.28 ERA in Triple-A home games (between Lehigh Valley and Norfolk). Had 32 strikeouts in 35.2 innings while walking seven opponents in those home contests.
♦ Held International League left-handed hitters to a .237 average (31-131).
♦ Had his contract selected by Baltimore on 7/1 and made his Major League debut that night in a start at Tampa Bay, allowing two earned runs over 5.0 innings. He did not record a strikeout in the game, becoming the third pitcher in Orioles history (since 1954) with at least 5.0 innings pitched in their Major League debut without a strikeout. He joined RHP Koji Uehara (5.0 IP) on 4/8/09 vs New York-AL and RHP Anthony Telford (7.0 IP) on 8/19/90 vs Oakland in such debuts in O's history.  
♦ Earned his first MLB win on 8/4 vs. Toronto, allowing four runs over 5.0 innings of relief.
♦ Struck out a season-high eight in a win vs. Charlotte, 9/1 (7.0 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 8 K). 
♦ Designated for assignment and outrighted to Norfolk on 9/2.


2018
♦ Spent the entire season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he made 26 starts and one relief appearance. Had seven quality starts, going 2-13 with a 5.84 ERA and 104 strikeouts.
♦ Ranked among International League pitchers in starts (T-2nd, 26) and innings pitched (5th, 140.1). His 26 starts tied for the most starts among Phililes minor leaguers.
♦ Spent a week in June (6/4-6/11) on the Injured List with a left shin contusion.
♦ Threw a complete game (7.0 innings) vs Syracuse in game one of a doubleheader. Allowed three earned runs and recorded five strikeouts in the loss. 
♦ Held opponents to a .232 average (16-69) with runners in scoring position and two outs.
♦ Earned a win on 7/30 at Buffalo, striking out five over 7.0 shutout innings.


2017
♦ Combined to go 13-3 with a 2.40 ERA in 23 starts between Double-A Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Recorded 102 strikeouts while issuing just 18 walks over 150 innings.
♦ Won the Paul Owens Award as the best pitcher in the Phillies minor league system.
♦ Selected as an International League Midseason All-Star. Got the start in the contest, allowing one run over 2.0 innings of work. 
♦ Ranked among IL pitchers in WHIP (1st, 0.94), ERA (2nd, 2.23), complete games (2nd, 3), wins (T-7th, 10) and opposing average (T-5th, .227). 
♦ Allowed the fewest base runners per 9.0 innings (8.48) among IL qualifying starters.
♦ Promoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after posting a quality start in his final three starts at Double-A Reading. Went 3-0 with a 3.10 ERA in five starts against the Eastern League.
♦ Named Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Month and IL Player of the Month in May, going 4-0 with a 1.38 ERA in five starts for Lehigh Valley. Had a 0.80 WHIP for the month.
♦ Tossed a 9.0-inning shutout at Indianapolis on 5/31, allowing five hits and striking out seven. Was just the third 9.0-inning shutout for Lehigh Valley team history.
♦ Entered the All-Star break with a 7-2 record and a 1.96 ERA in 11 starts in Triple-A. Allowed one earned run or less in 10 of his 18 starts with the IronPigs on the season.


2016
♦ Combined to go 9-7 with a 4.25 ERA in 24 starts between Clearwater and Reading.
♦ Selected as a Florida State League Midseason All-Star. 
♦ Was the FSL Player of the Week for the week of 4/18 - 4/24. 
♦ Promoted to Reading on 6/21. 
♦ Posted a career-best 11 strikeouts, 8/9 at Binghamton.
♦ Had two stints on the disabled list, the first with turf toe (7/27-8/3) and was out in September (9/4-9/26) with Appendicitis.


2015
♦ Began professional career with the GCL Astros. Promoted to Single-A Quad Cities on 8/18.
♦ Went 0-1 with a 4.35 ERA in four minor league starts, pitching 10.1 innings.


PERSONAL
♦ Acquired in a trade by Baltimore from Philadelphia on 6/10/19 in exchange for international bonus slot money. 
♦ Originally drafted by Houston in the second round of the 2015 draft (46th overall). Current Orioles Executive VP and GM Mike Elias was with Houston at the time of that selection.
♦ Attended Cal State Fullerton and played three seasons for the Titans. Named All-Big West Pitcher of the Year in 2015, First-Team All-American by Baseball America and was a Golden Spikes Award semifinalist. Set the Titans program record with a 1.65 career ERA, as well as the Division I record with 0.43 walks per nine innings pitched over his career. Also set an NCAA record as a freshman by starting his year with zero walks over his first 63.1 innings. 
♦ Graduated from Carlsbad High School (CA) in 2012. Played as a pitcher and catcher in high school and was named First-Team California Interscholastic Federation his senior season. His older brother, Sam, is currently the varsity boys basketball coach at Carlsbad High School.
♦ Other notable alumni from Carlsbad HS include Orioles Hall of Famer Brady Anderson, 2002 World Series MVP Troy Glaus and Olympic gold medal snowboarder Shaun white.
♦ Traded to Philadelphia from Houston, along with RHP Mark Appel, RHP Harold Arauz, LHP Brett Oberholtzer and RHP Vince Velasquez, in exchange for IF Jonathan Arauz and RHP Ken Giles, on 12/12/15.
