EL PASO – April 22, 2025 – The Chihuahuas are back in action at Southwest University Park to take on the Sacramento River Cats (San Francisco Giants affiliate) beginning today, Tuesday, April 22. The series includes Day Baseball, a plush giveaway, and MINECRAFT© MOVIE NIGHT, in celebration of the film’s release.
The series kicks off with Youth Baseball Night as the Chihuahuas invite local youth baseball teams, including a pregame parade on the field and a postgame run the bases. Bring your teammates, coaches, and families for a night full of baseball, memories, and community.
The Chihuahuas will also honor a true legend during the Celebration of the Legacy and Life of Jackie Robinson. The night also offers food and beverage specials presented by Cazadores.
Wednesday is Day Baseball with a midweek matinee. Gates open at 11 a.m. with first pitch at 12:05 p.m.
The Chihuahuas transform into the Malmö Oat Milkers on Thursday as part of Minor League Baseball’s newest identity, brought to life by Oatly, and Friday is a Chico Squishy Plush giveaway for 1,500 fans through the gates with paid admission.
To celebrate the first-ever big screen adaptation of the best-selling video game of all time – MINECRAFT© – get ready to craft your world with A MINECRAFT MOVIE© Day! Fans can purchase a Minecraft t-shirt ticket add-on, enjoy themed food like the Lava Chicken Sandwich, Creeper Fries, and Composter Power Sundae, and experience Minecraft-inspired in-game entertainment. The night culminates in a Fireworks Spectacular.
Dogs are taking over the ballpark on Sunday! Fans are invited to bring their four-legged companions for the first Bark at the Park of the season, presented by GECU. Proof of current vaccinations is required for entry. Enjoy a paw-some evening of baseball and tail-wagging fun!
