Wil Myers spent four games during the 2009 season in Burlington. During those four games, Myers hit .125 with a home run. Myers went 2 for 16 in his time with the Royals' Rookie affiliates, though not spectacular, he made steps to win several awards on his path towards the major leagues.
He was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays organization in 2012. While he was with Tampa, he managed to make a name for himself. As a rookie he won American League Rookie of the Year Award in 2013. The Rookie of the Year's stats were very impressive. He hit .293, with 13 home run and 53 runs batted in (RBI), in 88 games played. Myers was an All-Star in 2016 with the San Diego Padres. He hit 28 home runs and 94 RBIs in 157 games played. He looks to bounce back this year after injuries disrupted last season. Good luck Wil.
