Royals Top 30 Prospects (According to MLB.com)
#3 Seuly Matias ('17) - After playing 57 games for the B-Royals in 2017, Matias is raking through 37 games with the Lexington Legends. In 136 at-bats, Matias has 22 extra-base hits including 14 home runs and 29 RBIs, which both lead the team. Matias already has two multi-home run games and seven games with at least two RBIs.
#5 Michael Gigliotti ('17) - Gigliotti starred with the B-Royals for 42 games in 2017, hitting .329 on 155 at-bats. After a call-up to Lexington at the end of 2017, Gigliotti has been with the Legends the entirety of the 2018 season to this point, however he as only recorded 17 at-bats due to injury.
#6 Nicky Lopez ('16) - After a call-up to AA Northwest Arkansas midway through the 2017 season, Lopez has played all 50 games of 2018 with the Naturals. He tore it up in the Arizona Fall League, where he finished second overall in batting average at .383. Now back with Northwest Arkansas, Lopez leads the team in batting average (.328), on base percentage (.401), hits (63), walks (24) and triples (4).
#8 Scott Blewett ('14) - Blewett got the call from high-A Wilmington to AA Northwest Arkansas at the beginning of the 2018 season. Since then, he has been a mainstay in the Naturals rotation, recording two wins so far in his 10 starts.
#9 Foster Griffin ('14) - The Royals 2014 first-round pick has steadily worked his way through the organization since his selection. Griffin made 18 starts in AA Northwest Arkansas to finish 2017 and has made 10 starts with the Naturals in 2018. In his 28 AA starts, Griffin has a tremendous 13-7 record with 123 strikeouts over that span.
#12 Carlos Hernandez ('17) - The Venezuelan native got the call from Burlington up to the low-A Lexington Legends at the start of 2018 and has shown impressive potential on the mound. Hernandez has picked up two wins in his five starts and has struck out 28 batters in 24 innings.
#16 Meibrys Viloria ('14, '15) - Viloria moved up from low-A Lexington to high-A Wilmington to start this season. He has gotten the majority of starts behind the plate for the Blue Rocks in 2018.
#18 Daniel Tillo ('17) - After seven strong starts to begin the year in Lexington, Tillo was called up to Wilmington on May 19. He sports a strong 3.38 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 10.2 in two starts with the Blue Rocks.
#19 Jeison Guzman ('17) - Guzman has spent all of 2018 with the Lexington Legends, and has an impressive 8 extra-base hits in 109 at-bats.
#24 Chase Vallot ('14) - Vallot is in his second season with Wilmington. After slugging 12 home runs and 22 doubles for the Blue Rocks in 2017, Vallot has displayed that same power this season, with six home runs in just 92 at-bats.
Kansas City Royals (MLB)
Salvador Perez ('08, '09) - The five-time all-star catcher who played parts of two seasons with the B-Royals began 2018 on the disabled list, but has regained his elite form since returning to the big club in Kansas City. Perez has belted nine home runs and driven in 28 runs in his first 35 games of 2018. Those numbers are both good for second on the club.
Kevin McCarthy ('13) - McCarthy spent parts of 2016 and 2017 in Kansas City, but the right-hander has become a mainstay in the Royals bullpen in 2018. In 19 appearances, McCarthy has dominated opposing hitters, pitching to a 2.82 ERA and a .244 batting average against.
Ramón Torres ('13) - Torres was a September call-up to Kansas City in 2017, and earned another call to the big leagues from Omaha on May 19. In four games with the Royals in 2018, Torres has four hits and has driven in one run.
Omaha Storm Chasers (AAA)
Terrance Gore ('12) - The 26-year-old speedster has spent parts of each of the last four years with Kansas City, but has been in Omaha for all of 2018 thus far. Gore has already stolen 12 bases in his first 31 games with the Storm Chasers.
Kevin Lenik ('17) - Lenik dominated his way through the lower minor league levels in 2017, eventually earning him a promotion to AAA at the end of the year. In 2018, Lenik has made 14 appearances out of the bullpen for the Storm Chasers has been an important arm, limiting opponents to just a .192 batting average.
Humberto Arteaga ('12) - Arteaga has made a steady climb through the minor leagues since his time in Burlington in 2012. The 24-year-old got the call to Omaha at the start of 2018 and has not disappointed. His .319 batting average is the best among every day starters for the Storm Chasers.
Logan Moon ('14) - After splitting 2017 between Northwest Arkansas and Omaha, Moon has been in Omaha for all of 2018, starting in right field most days for the Storm Chasers.
Jake Kalish ('15) - Kalish made three strong appearances in Omaha in 2017, and was brought back to the Storm Chasers from Northwest Arkansas on May 28. In his lone appearance for Omaha in 2018. Kalish worked four solid innings surrendering just one earned run.
Manny Olloque ('14) - After an impressive season with low-A Lexington in 2017, Olloque made the jump all the way to AAA Omaha to start 2018. Manny has six hits in nine games and has driven in two runs.
Northwest Arkansas Naturals (AA)
Andres Machado ('13, '14) - Machado got his first call to the major leagues at the end of 2017 and made two appearances for the Royals. This year, he struggled a bit to start the season in Omaha, but has been great since being sent back to Northwest Arkansas. In three starts with the Naturals, Machado has a tremendous ERA of 2.30.
Andrew Edwards ('13) - Edwards spent 2017 between Wilmington, Northwest Arkansas and Omaha. He was set to begin 2018 with Northwest Arkansas but has been sidelined all year due to injury.
Zach Lovvorn ('13) - After making one start to begin the year in Omaha, Lovvorn's last nine starts have all come with the Naturals. He has picked up three wins in those starts and has held opponents to a batting average under .270.
Yunior Marte ('14) - Marte made his final 17 appearances of 2017 with Northwest Arkansas and has pitched 30.2 innings for the Naturals so far in 2018. He has been electric out of the bullpen, striking out 33 batters and limiting opposing hitters so a .239 batting average.
Walker Sheller ('16) - Sheller has been excellent throughout his minor league career in the Royals organization, pitching to a combined 2.74 ERA. However, 2018 has been Sheller's best year as a professional. He made five appearances with Wilmington, pitching to a 1.42 ERA, before being called up to Northwest Arkansas. In his time with the Naturals, Sheller has a tremendous 1.47 ERA out of the bullpen.
Nathan Esposito ('16) - The California native was called up from Wilmington to Northwest Arkansas at the beginning of 2018. He has played in ten games for the Naturals.
Luis Villegas ('13, '15) - The 25-year-old backstop has had a strong start to the season with the Naturals. He is hitting .291 in 79 at-bats with two home runs and 13 RBIs.
Alfredo Escalera ('13) - Escalera is in his third year with the Naturals, but has missed the majority of 2018 with an injury after an impressive 2017 campaign in which he hit seven home runs and drove in more than 50 runs.
Anderson Miller ('15) - After a call-up from Wilmington to Northwest Arkansas midway through 2017, Miller has been with the Naturals for all of 2018 and has been a key piece of their lineup. In 42 games he has 14 extra-base hits and has driven in 19 runs.
Jacob Bodner ('15) - Bodner moved up from Wilmington to Northwest Arkansas at the start of 2018 and has made six appearances out of the bullpen for the Naturals.
Wilmington Blue Rocks
Justin Camp ('16) - Camp was great in 2017, pitching to a 2.72 ERA across three stops in the Royals organization. His final 11 appearances came with Wilmington, which is where all 14 of his stints on the mound have come in 2018.

Cristian Castillo ('16) - Castillo is in his second season with the Blue Rocks. He has made 34 starts with Wilmington and picked up eight wins in that span.
Gabe Cramer ('15) - Cramer's 1.98 ERA with three saves for Wilmington in 2017 turned some heads, but he has not yet made an appearance in 2018 due to injury.
Jose Veras ('16) - Called up to Wilmington at the end of 2017, Veras was outstanding in 15 innings for the Blue Rocks, producing a 1.80 ERA. Unfortunately, he has also not pitched in 2018 due to injury.
D.J. Burt ('14) - Burt is off to a great start in his second season in Wilmington. In 119 at-bats, he is hitting .303 and leads the team with 12 stolen bases.
Chris DeVito ('16) - DeVito split 2017 between Lexington and Wilmington, hitting 21 home runs across the two stops. This year he has played 46 games for the Blue Rocks and driven in 19 runs.
Kort Peterson ('16) - Peterson has hit wherever he has been since joining the organization in 2016, and that has continued this season. He has played 45 games for Wilmington in 2018 and is hitting .296 with five home runs and 20 RBIs.
Vance Vizcaino ('16) - After a call-up from Lexington on May 4, Vizcaino has played in 11 games for the Blue Rocks.
Oliver Nunez ('17) - Nunez is rising quickly through the organization, already up in Wilmington after a call-up on May 10. Since joining the Blue Rocks, he is hitting .308 with a home run and six RBIs in eight games.
Carter Hope ('14) - Hope was dominant in Lexington to start the year, earning four wins and pitching to a 1.32 ERA in six appearances. On May 4, he was called up to Wilmington and has since made six appearances for the Blue Rocks.
Julio Pinto ('14, '15) - Pinto got called up from Lexington to Wilmington on May 21. Between the two teams, he is undefeated in 12 appearances and has struck out 26 batters in 20 innings.
Lexington Legends
Marten Gasparini ('14) - In his third season with Lexington, Gasparini has 31 hits and nine stolen bases through 38 games in 2018.
Travis Jones ('17) - Jones has been a force in the middle of the Legends order in 2018, hitting .297 with three home runs, 11 doubles, 34 runs, 24 RBIs and 13 stolen bases. He leads the team in runs, doubles and stolen bases.
Dennicher Carrasco ('17) - Carrasco has picked up right where he left off in Burlington at the end of last season. After slugging ten home runs in 61 games for the B-Royals in 2017, he has hit six in 27 games with Lexington in 2018 and driven in 20 runs.
Sebastian Rivero ('17) - A an important part of Burlington's lineup in 2017, Rivero has continued to hit well in 33 games with Lexington this year. He is currently sporting a .282 batting average with 11 extra-base hit and 17 RBIs.
Julio Gonzalez ('17) - Gonzalez has appeared in six games for the Legends this year. He has four hits and driven in three runs.
Sal Biasi ('17) - An all-star in Burlington last season, Biasi is now pitching out of the bullpen for Lexington. He has made 12 appearances for the Legends and struck out 23 batters in 18 innings.
Collin Snider ('17) - After a late season call-up to Lexington in 2017, Snider has made nine appearances and six starts for the Legends this year, picking up three wins.
Nolan Watson ('15, '17) - Watson is in his third stint with the Legends, and has been a full-time member of the starting rotation in 2018. He has earned three wins in ten starts and is averaging nearly a strikeout per inning pitched.
Tyler Zuber ('17) - Zuber was a star in Burlington last year, pitching to a 2.16 ERA and picking up six saves in 25 innings. That earned him a call-up to Lexington at the end of the year. This year, Zuber has made 14 appearances for the Legends, earning a team-leading six saves and pitching to a solid 3.06 ERA.
Garrett Davila ('16) - After a dominant 7-0 2016 in Burlington, Davila is now in his second season with the Legends. He has had a strong 2018 thus far, going 3-1 with a 3.50 ERA in 9 starts.
Andres Sotillet ('17) - Soitillet has been great as a member of Lexington's starting rotation. In 49 innings he is 3-2 with a 2.94 ERA and has 48 strikeouts in 49 innings.
