Former Burlington Royals' Seuly Matias and Michael Gigliotti are two up and coming outfielders on the path to the Major Leagues. Matias had an impressive season in 2018 with the Lexington Legends, Single-A affialiate for the Kansas City Royals. He enters the 2019 season being the sixth ranked prospect in the Royals farm system. In 2018, Matias hit 31 home runs in 93 games. He also participated in the Futures Games during the All-Star break in Washington, DC. During the Futures Game, Matias went 2 for 3 with a home run. In Burlington during the 2017 season, Matias had 23 extra base hits, including thirteen doubles, and seven home runs. In his 57 games, he had 54 hits, along with 16 walks, reaching base 70 times. 
Michael Gigliotti's 2018 season ended short with an ACL injury early in the season with the Lexington Legends. In 2017 with Burlington "Gigs" had impressive numbers, hitting .329 with an On Base Percentage .442. He holds the fifth best average in Burlington history, surpassing Manny Ramirez. His numbers impressed the front office so much that he was promoted to Lexington during the end of the 2017 season. He his currently ranked as the Royals' 10th best prospect.
