JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a successful Sales Intern, your main responsibility is to provide support in sales-related areas of the business for the Charlotte Stone Crabs Florida State League season. The internship runs from January to September of 2020. Responsibilities: Sell tickets at several levels (Group, Mini, Season and Individual). Ability to manage customer database. Sell via outbound calls and face to face meetings. Assist in community relations efforts. Fill in as mascot as needed. Work in the Box Office on game days and non-game days. Perform all game day duties as assigned. Assist in any other tasks assigned. Additionally, you'll gain valuable experience in the baseball industry, with training provided and the opportunity to work closely with all members of the Stone Crabs Front Office. This internship is an exciting opportunity to join the CBI Baseball family and work for one of the best operations in minor league baseball. The ideal candidate for this position must possess the ability to multi-task and the desire to contribute to a high-quality minor league product. The Stone Crabs play their home games at Charlotte Sports Park, which is the Spring Training home for the Tampa Bay Rays. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong organizational skills and customer service skills. Desire for career in the sports industry. Self-motivation and ability to take initiative. We prefer: Experience in a sales related field. Ability to work all home games and other various stadium events throughout the year. Experience with Tickets.com ticketing programs. Special Physical Requirements of the Job: Ability to work holidays, nights and weekends. Routinely exposed to extreme hot weather conditions. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and assist in tarp pulls.
