The Charlotte Stone Crabs are hosting their 1st Annual Intellectual and Developmental Disability Awareness Night on Monday, August 27th at 6:35 p.m. Bring out your family and friends for a great night at the ballpark and help create awareness for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities! The first 300 fans in attendance when the gates open at 5:30 p.m. will receive a free "My Ability Is Greater Than My Disability" wristband. We'll also hold a silent auction of artwork from residents of Loveland Center and the Special Olympics. Proceeds from the auction will benefit both groups.
Those with intellectual and developmental disabilities can participate in a meet-and-greet with Stone Crabs players and coaches from 5:30-5:50 p.m. and can volunteer to work alongside our staff that night. And if you would like to recognize a loved one with a disability during the game, please send us a photo and a short bio and we'll display it on the video board that evening! Please send your submissions via social media or email [email protected].
To purchase tickets to see the Stone Crabs play the Daytona Tortugas that evening, please call 941-206-HITS. Fans can also stop by the FCB Box Office anytime Monday-Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. or go online.
