Jeff Cook Promoted to General Manager of Stone Crabs

The Charlotte Stone Crabs are proud to announce the promotion of Jeff Cook to the position of General Manager. Cook enters his sixth season with the Stone Crabs having served as the team's Assistant General Manger for the previous four seasons.
Cook succeeds Jared Forma, who has been the Stone Crabs General Manager since July of 2013. Forma will remain with the organization as the Vice President. In addition to helping Cook in the day-to-day operations of the Stone Crabs, Forma will assume a larger role with the Stone Crabs' parent company, Caribbean Baseball Initiative LP, working with their other entities.

"Jeff is an enormous asset to not only the Stone Crabs organization but the entire Charlotte County and North Port communities," said Forma. "He is very deserving of this promotion, having assisted me with a number of the General Manager's duties for the past four years. Our entire organization is proud of Jeff's development and most importantly his commitment to our fans and staff. This is a great day for the Stone Crabs as we enter a new era under a new leader."
Cook made the switch from the banking industry to the sports industry in 2013 and quickly ascended the Stone Crabs organizational ladder. "I am very thankful to Jared and this organization as well as our amazing fans," said Cook. "The community has welcomed me and my family with open arms. I'm excited for the new opportunity and challenge. We have a dedicated staff and all of us are looking forward to the 2019 season and building on our past success."
