A to Z Guide

Here you will find all the frequently requested information that you will need at the ballpark. If you have any additional questions, please contact the front office.

ADA Accommodations
Grainger Stadium is a completely ADA accessible facility. Disabled guests may enter Grainger Stadium via the main gate. Parking spaces are clearly marked in front of Grainger Stadium in the main parking lot. All restroom facilities are also ADA friendly. Please notify the Down East Wood Ducks Office at (252) 686-5164 when purchasing tickets if you require an accessible seat.

Age Requirement
Infants and children 2 years of age and under are free to sit in their parents' lap. If they require a seat they will need to purchase a ticket.

Alcohol Management
No alcoholic beverages may be brought into or removed from Grainger Stadium. North Carolina state law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. There is a limit of two alcoholic beverage per person with id per purchase.

Announcements
For any public address announcements, please visit the Guest Services desk located near the front gate. $5 cash donation to the Boys and Girls Club. Announcements will be made based upon available time.

ATM
The in-stadium ATM is located inside the Wood Ducks Team Store.

Baby Changing Tables
Baby changing tables are located in both the men's and women's restrooms at Grainger Stadium. The restrooms are located on the concourse down both the first and third base lines.

Bags and Backpacks
For your safety, all bags, backpacks, and purses are allowed but will be subject to search upon admittance to the ballpark.

Cameras
Still and hand-held video cameras are welcome at Grainger Stadium, however, tripods are not permitted. Video reproduction of Down East Wood Ducks games or Grainger Stadium events is strictly prohibited without the express written consent from the Down East Wood Ducks and Minor League Baseball.

Cellular Phones
Cellular phones are permitted within Grainger Stadium provided their use does not interfere with other fans' enjoyment of the game.

Comments/Suggestions
Guests are always encouraged to bring forth any comments and/or suggestions. Simply speak with any available Down East Wood Ducks front office member, or visit the Customer Service desk near the main gate. Guests may also mail written comments or suggestions to: The Down East Wood Ducks Baseball Club, Grainger Stadium, 400 E Grainger Ave, Kinston, NC 28501.

Concessions and Catering
Delaware North is the food service provider for the Down East Wood Ducks and all events hosted at Grainger Stadium. They are recognized for their unequaled style of service, quality of product, and hospitality. Credit/Debit cards are accepted at the concession stands.

Duck Bucks
Duck Bucks are sold in increments of $5 and can be used just like cash at any of our concession stands or in the Wood Ducks team store.

Field Dimensions
Left Field - 330 feet; Center - 390 feet; Right Field 330 feet.

First Aid
In the unlikely event that you are injured at Grainger Stadium, EMTs are on site to handle any medical needs. If you should need medical attention, please contact the nearest Down East Wood Ducks staff member or visit customer service located inside the front gate. We will be happy to assist you.

Foul Balls and Bats
The holder of each ticket assumes all risks and danger arising from the action of the players, coaches, and officials on the field before, during, and after the actual occurrence of the event. Such risks and danger include, but are not limited to, being injured by objects such as bats, balls, bases, helmets, and promotional merchandise that are thrown, batted, kicked, shot, tossed, etc. from the field, bullpens, dugouts, and other areas on the stadium grounds. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that The Down East Wood Ducks, The Down East Wood Ducks management and team members, City of Kinston, the Carolina League, various participants and participating clubs, and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners, and employees are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.

Gate Times
The main gate opens 60 minutes prior to each home game for all guests. Special game times and double-header games may vary. Please inquire at 252-686-5164.

Giveaways and Promotional Items
Due to the limited nature of our giveaways and promotional items, please be aware that all giveaways and promotional items are limited to ONE ITEM PER PERSON (not one item per ticket).

Lost and Found
Guests may inquire about lost and found items at the customer service desk. To inquire about lost and found items after a game, guests may call the Down East Wood Ducks front office at (252) 686-5164 during business hours (10:00 am to 4:00 pm). Items will be held for thirty days before being discarded or donated to charity.

Lost Children
In the unlikely event that a member of your party becomes separated, please report to the Guest Services desk for assistance. The Down East Wood Ducks staff is always available to help locate any lost or separated guests.

Major League Affiliation
The Down East Wood Ducks are the Single-A, Carolina League affiliate of the Texas Rangers

Mascot Appearances:
All mascot appearances can be booked through Maddy Meehan at 252-686-5165 or email [email protected]. We need a minimum of a two week notice to assure that we can schedule it and a $50 minimum is required.

Merchandise:
The Wood Ducks team merchandise store is open daily from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday and on gamedays, during the game. The store accepts cash, checks, Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover.

On-Field Access:
Only authorized personnel will be permitted on the field before, during, and after the games. Any unauthorized person entering the field will be removed from Grainger Stadium and subject to arrest.

Outside Food and Beverages:
No outside bottles, cans, coolers, food or beverages may be brought into Grainger Stadium. Exceptions will be made for those with specific medical needs or items needed for infants and small children. The Woodies will make every effort to accommodate our guest's food preferences.

Peddling or Vending:
The peddling or vending of merchandise or other printed materials at Grainger Stadium or surrounding grounds is not allowed. The Down East Wood Ducks must grant written permission for these activities.

Pets:
Pets are not permitted inside Grainger Stadium, except for specially designated games. However, all service animals are welcome.

Postponed/Canceled Game Policy:

If an official game is not played (5 complete innings or 4 1/2 innings with the Wood Ducks leading), for weather or any other reasons, your game ticket (or ticket stub) serves as a rain check for any remaining regular-season home game (subject to availability). Your rain check must be redeemed at the Wood Ducks Ticket Office for the game of your choice, excluding the following blackout dates for the 2023 season: Opening Day, and potential playoff games.

Wood Ducks home games are rarely rained out and are almost never canceled before the scheduled game time. Fans are welcome to call the main office at 252-686-5164 to inquire about the weather, but more than likely you will be instructed that "the game is still on." If you choose to call, we ask that you please remember that ALL WEATHER DECISIONS ARE MADE AS CLOSE TO GAME TIME AS POSSIBLE, and we will NEVER have updated information on the status of an evening game in the morning or early afternoon hours of a game day.

We prefer that you check the main page of WoodDucksBaseball.com for updates or our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts (@gowoodducks) for an update on the status of all games.

Re-Entry:

If you must leave Grainger Stadium during a game, re-entry is permitted. However, anyone leaving the ballpark intending to re-enter must have their ticket. The ticket must be scanned before re-entry into the ballpark.

Smoke Free Policy:
Smoking is not permitted within the seating areas at Grainger Stadium. Designated smoking areas have been set up on the concourse area.

Tryouts:
The Down East Wood Ducks do not offer open tryouts. All of our players are assigned to us by our Major League affiliate, the Texas Rangers.
