CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Florida State League President Ken Carson and the Hall of Fame Committee today announced the 2019 Florida State League Hall of Fame Inductees.

There will be three inductees in the Class of 2019.

Edgardo Alfonzo played the entire 1993 season with the St. Lucie Mets. Over the course of the 1993 season Edgardo appeared in 128 games, had 569 plate appearances and had a .294 batting average, 75 runs, 86 RBI and 26 stolen bases. Alfonzo was part of the infield considered to be the best infield in MLB history on a cover of Sports illustrated, along with Rey Ordonez, Robin Ventura and John Olerud. Edgardo is currently the manager of the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Mike Coolbaugh played for two different teams in the FSL, the Dunedin Blue Jays in 1994 and the Charlotte Rangers in 1996. He was a 1996 Florida State League All-Star. He hit a combined 30 home runs and 141 RBIs. Mike spent 17 years in the Minors and had two years in the Majors. On July 22, 2007 Mike tragically lost his life after being hit with a line drive while coaching first base.

Remembering Mike Coolbaugh

In 2008, Minor League Baseball began presenting the annual Mike Coolbaugh Award to someone who has "shown an outstanding baseball work ethic, knowledge of the game, and skill in mentoring young players on the field".

Steve Gliner was an executive for the Fort Myers Miracle for over a decade as General Manager, Vice President and later, Chief Operating Officer and a dedicated contributor to the Minor League landscape for over three decades. A two time MiLB League Executive of the Year Award-winner, Steve's vast experience has seen him oversee two major stadium renovations.

In his years in Fort Myers, Steve cultivated a winning culture and each year he oversaw productive gains on and off the field. While directing the Miracle, Steve hosted three Florida State League All-Star games, developed a wealth of young industry talent under his guidance and earned the club a tremendous amount of national and industry acclaim.
