Hagerstown Suns Announce 2017 Promotional Schedule

Newly-added Belly Buster Mondays feature All-You-Can-Eat Seats

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Affordable family fun returns to historic Municipal Stadium this season as the Hagerstown Suns, Class-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, present a season full of promotions, deals, and giveaways during 71 home games against South Atlantic League competition.

Opening Night is set for Thursday, April 6 at 6:05 p.m. when the Suns host the Asheville Tourists. The first 500 fans will receive a 2017 Suns magnet schedule and Thirsty Thursday returns each and every Thursday this season with 12-ounce beers starting at just $2 each.

Beginning in May, Fireworks Nights return every Friday offering fans a postgame spectacular in the skies above Municipal Stadium included in the price of their game ticket.

Fans of all ages will love Sunday Family Fundays. The first 500 fans will receive a free team poster and Suns players will be available to sign autographs on the concourse. Suns Kids Club members are invited down to the field to play pregame catch and all kids are invited to run the bases after the game.

New for 2017, the Suns will offer all-you-can-eat seats. Every Monday, fans can purchase Belly Buster tickets starting at just $16 to enjoy all the hot dogs, hamburgers, potato chips, and popcorn they can handle.

Early in the 2017 home schedule, the Suns will host two Education Days for local school kids, featuring 10:35 a.m. game start times on Wednesday, April 26 and Monday, May 8.

The Suns are excited to announce a wide variety of theme nights this season. In May, there will be four Nora Roberts Reading Challenge Days, Military Appreciation Weekend, and Star Wars Night on Saturday, May 20.

Pink Weekend is scheduled for June 9 through June 11 with the Suns suiting up in pink jerseys for breast cancer awareness. On August 12, the Suns will host the first of three Bobblehead Giveaways offering free figurines to the first 1,000 fans.

Other theme nights in 2017 will include Cinco de Mayo, Super Hero Day, Candy Drop, Disney Night, Harry Potter Night, Revolutionary War Weekend, Boonsboro Night, Christmas in July, First Responders Night, German Heritage Celebration, Bark in the Park, Jimmy Buffett Luau, Salute to First Responders, and more.
