Hammerheads win in West Palm Beach

In a home game away from home, the Jupiter Hammerheads took game three against the Palm Beach Cardinals, 4-2.
Will Stewart's start was big in giving the Hammerheads the chance to earn the win. Over six innings, the lefty allowed just four hits and no runs. He struck out four on the way to his shutout start.
Lazaro Alonso accounted for all four of the Hammerheads RBIs. The first baseman went 2-3 with a single in the bottom of the first and a 3-run double in the fifth.
Riley Mahan went 2-4 with a double and run and Eddy Alvarez also went 2-4 and accounted for two of the four Hammerheads runs.
The Cardinals loaded the bases in the third, but an impressive play from shortstop Eddy Alvarez got the Hammerheads out of a pinch. Palm Beach got on the board with a 2-run homer in the 8th, but Chad Smith shut them dwon in the ninth to secure the win.
The Hammerheads and Cardinals finish their series and the first-half tonight at FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches at 6:30pm.
