Jupiter, FL., - Today, the Miami Marlins released the rosters of their Minor League affiliates. For now, the Jupiter Hammerheads roster is set, but is subject to change due to Major League roster moves and injury reports.

The Hammerheads will begin the season with 14 pitchers and 13 position players.

Only two of the 14 pitchers are left-handed including Sean Guenther and Dylan Lee.

The right-handed pitchers are Vincenzo Aiello, Daniel Castano, Parker Bugg, Ethan Clark, Robert Dugger, Jorge Guzman, Kyle Keller, Zech Lemond, Alex Mateo, Michael Mertz, Sam Perez and Lukas Schiraldi. The Hammerheads will also begin with three pitchers on the disabled list, Steve Farnworth, Ben Holmes, and Jordan Yamamoto.

In the playing field, the Hammerheads will open with three catchers, Will Allen, Skyler Ewing, and Jarret Rindfleisch. In addition, a fourth catcher, Gunner Pollman, will start the season on the disabled list.

Jupiter will retain six infielders including Rodrigo Ayarza, Joe Dunand, Riley Mahan, Luis Pintor, John Silviano, and rounding it off is Justin Twine.

In the outfield, four Hammerheads consist of Corey Bird, Stone Garett, Brian Miller, and Boo Vazquez.

Even though 20 of the 27 active members on the roster are returning to the organization, only eight are making their return to Jupiter. With plenty of new faces on the field, here are four names to keep in mind.

Jorge Guzman is the Marlins 4th ranked prospect according to the 2018 MLB Pipeline rankings. The right-handed pitcher was acquired this past off-season from the New York Yankees in the Giancarlo Stanton trade. The Dominican Republic native is known to be a flame thrower, with consistent fastball velocity of 97-103 mph as a starter. Watch out for Guzman in Jupiter early on, because with his potential, the big leagues are in his near future.

Outfielder Brian Miller ranks 12th on the Marlins Top 30 Prospect list. Miller was drafted by the Fish in the 1st round (36th) of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A career .322 hitter in college, the youngster looks to continue the success at the plate with his quick bat and mature approach.

Joe Dunand is the big name on the infield for Jupiter. Ranked 19th on the Marlins Top 30 Prospect list, the North Carolina State alum was drafted by the Marlins in the 2nd round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft. Dunand, nephew of former MLB third baseman Alex Rodriguez, displays exciting potential with his power at the plate.

Riley Mahan out of Milford, Ohio was the Marlins 3rd round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft from the University of Kentucky. As the 20th ranked prospect, Mahan will bring another lefty bat to the lineup while throwing right-handed. He wasn't known to hit for power early on at Kentucky, but led his team in 2017 with 15 home runs.

The talent within this team is no secret and the Hammerheads revamped 2018 roster bolsters a legitimate threat for the origination to earn its first Florida State League Championship.
