In the second game of a three game series vs. Palm Beach, the Hammerheads offense proved too much for the opposition to handle in a 9-1 win.
The Hammerheads caught fire early in the game scoring two runs in the 2nd inning along with three runs in each the 3rd and 4th innings.
Both of the team's second inning runs were scored on Stone Garrett's fifth home run of the season.
All nine of the Hammerheads' starters reached base.
Brian Miller, John Silviano and Stone Garrett all recorded two hits in the game. Garrett added a team high four RBI.
Jupiter scored its ninth and final run in the sixth on a John Silviano two-out RBI double.
Jupiter's two newest acquisitions, outfielder Braxton Lee and Saturday's starter Josh Roeder, had a big impact for their new team. Lee scored two runs and had one RBI. On the defensive side, in six innings pitched, Roeder allowed only three hits and zero runs while also recording four strike outs.
Out of the bullpen, Esmerling De La Rosa continued to post zeros on the scoreboard. He threw two scoreless innings and allowed just one hit and two walks.
This was an important win for Jupiter against Rodger Dean Chevrolet Stadium rival Palm Beach as the Hammerheads now sit three games atop the South division of the Florida State League.
Sunday's rubber match will begin at 1 PM. Tickets and more info can be found at Rogerdeanchevroletstadium.com/tickets-events
