Jupiter, FL - The Palm Beach Cardinals (55-41, 15-14) recorded only four hits as they lost to the Charlotte Stone Crabs (46-51, 15-14) by a final of 3-0.
Jordan Hicks got the start and looked great as he struck out six batters over five shutout innings of one hit baseball. Brennan Leitao took over for him in the sixth inning and gave up a one run home run to Peter Maris to give Charlotte a 1-0 lead in a scoreless game.
Hector Mendoza came into the game and gave up two runs in the eighth inning to give the Stone Crabs a 3-0 lead.
Palm Beach had only five players reach base, as Andy Young hit two singles on the day in the 3-0 loss to Charlotte.
