Jupiter, FL - Ryan Helsley twirled a gem as he tossed 7.2 scoreless innings, scattering seven hits, walking one batter and striking out four, leading the Palm Beach Cardinals (22-19) to an 8-0 victory over the Florida Fire Frogs (18-24).
Darren Seferina hit three singles and drove in four runs allowing him to now hit safely in 13 of his last 14 games. Chris Chinea also hit three singles driving in two runs himself to catapult the Cardinals to the shutout victory.
Estarlin Arias tossed 1.1 scoreless innings to preserve the shutout and got his first save of the season.
The 8-0 win over Florida was the Palm Beach Cardinals fifth straight victory, their longest streak of the season. The win places them one game closer behind Bradenton in the FSL South Division.
