MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:

- What briefly looked like a miraculous game-saving diving catch by Cardinals RF Randy Arozarena ended up being a game-winning two run double by Drillers 1B Jared Walker. The two-out rip into the gap in right came on an 0-2 pitch with two outs.

- Cardinals CF Dylan Carlson mashed his eighth homer of the year to deep center field in the bottom of the sixth, ending Drillers RHP Dustin May's shutout and putting Springfield up 2-1.

NOTABLES:
- Cardinals RHP Johan Oviedo posted the best start of his Double-A career, allowing just a single run over 5.0 innings, striking out six to three hits and four walks on 95 pitches.

- RHP Junior Fernandez continued to shut down batters in relief, striking out five over 2.0 scoreless innings and lowering his ERA to 1.38 over eight appearances.

- Drillers SS Gavin Lux led off the game with a home run.
