66ers, LifeStream Present Third Annual Zombie Apocalypse

June 12, 2015

San Bernardino, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers and LifeStream will partner for the third annual Zombie Apocalypse on June 25th at San Manuel Stadium. The wildly popular event will transform the ballpark into a post-apocalyptic zombie-scape with 66ers players donning the now world-famous survivalist zombie jerseys.

The evening's partner is LifeStream, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization blood center that serves more than 80 Southern California medical facilities. LifeStream aims to use the fun event to bring awareness to the Inland Empire about the importance and ease of blood donation. They will even have a mobile donation center outside of the park on the day of the event between the hours of 3:30 until 6:30 pm those willing to donate. Other donation centers in the region will distribute vouchers for 66ers tickets. Additionally, the "Zombie-fied" jerseys that the club wears during that night's contest will be auctioned off with proceeds going to LifeStream to aid in their efforts to serve the community.

"Zombie Apocalypse Night at San Manuel Stadium is a personal favorite of mine," 66ers General Manager Joe Hudson said. "Obviously, it is a timely pop-culture promotional event that our fans can relate to. More importantly though, we use it as an opportunity to support the folks at LifeStream and the life-saving work that they do on our community's behalf."

Fans who are not able to attend the game can bid for jerseys by heading to Ebay.com where select jerseys will be placed on the popular site and made up for grabs.
