Goldy bobblehead giveaway on Sat.

O's home for quick three-game homestand beginning Sat.

The Missoula Osprey return home to face the Helena Brewers in a three-game series on Saturday, August 4, and the Osprey will be honoring one of its most popular alumni, as well as giving fans great opportunities to enjoy a fun and affordable night at the ballpark.

Saturday will be Paul Goldschmidt Bobblehead Night, with the first 750 fans receiving a Paul Goldschmidt Bobblehead, sponsored by Roto Rooter. The bobblehead depicts "Goldy" in his Osprey uniform launching one of the many tape-measure clouts he delivered during the 2009 season, when he not only helped the Osprey advance to the Pioneer League Championship Series, but also became the first Osprey player to hit 18 home runs in a season.

Goldschmidt would win a pair of league most valuable player awards, in the California League in 2010 and in the Southern League in 2011, before being called up to the Arizona Diamondbacks in August 2011.

Also on Saturday, it will be Game Show Night, as the Osprey promotional staff will honor another popular game show, and Launch-A-Ball will take place following the game. Numbered tennis balls are sold for $1 each. Following the game, fans throw their tennis ball(s) on the field toward colored hoops in an attempt to win cash and prizes. Two reserved season tickets are given away every Launch-A-Ball. Gates will open at 6:30, with the first pitch against the Brewers set for 7:05.

Sunday's 5:05 start against Helena is another Kid's Day and Kid's Club Membership Day, sponsored by Mismo Gymnastics, First Choice Medical Clinic and ZOO 107.5. The game is centered on kid's promotions, music & activities. Following the game, all fans can run around the bases and play catch on the field.

Plus, the new Sunday standard promotion is Social Media Sunday, presented by ESPN Montana 97.5. Fans that follow the Missoula Osprey on Facebook and Twitter will be able to use a code word for a special deal. Gates will open at 4:30 on Sunday for the 5:05 game with the Brewers.

Monday will be Family Night. Fans can get four general admission tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of chips, four regular sodas and one super scorecard for just $30 with the donation of non-perishable food items. All food collected benefits the Poverello Center. Family Night is sponsored by Maximized Living and Cherry Creek Radio. Gates will open at 6:30, and the first pitch with the Brewers is slated for 7:05.

The Osprey will head back on the road for a three-game series in Helena, but will come back for theit longest homestand of the season on Friday, August 10, with the Billings Mustangs, Ogden Raptors and Idaho Falls Chukars coming to Ogren Park Allegiance Field.
