2012 PawSox Playoff Tickets On-Sale Wednesday

The Pawtucket Red Sox are pleased to announce that tickets for all possible 2012 PawSox playoff games at McCoy Stadium will go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:00 am at the Box Office at McCoy. Fans can also charge tickets with any major credit card by calling the PawSox at (401) 724-7300 or visiting the PawSox website at www.pawsox.com.

Tickets for the 2012 Governors' Cup Semi-Finals and Governors' Cup Finals will be priced the same as regular-season tickets. Box Seats are $11.00 apiece while General Admission are $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Children (aged 12 & under) & Senior Citizens.

Fans who purchase a PawSox Playoff Pack (a strip of box seats for all five potential PawSox home playoff games) will receive a discounted price of $50 for all 5 tickets.

Heading into play tonight, the PawSox are currently the IL North leader (by 1-game over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre) and they would also have a 2½-game advantage in the IL wild card race should they become involved in that.

The 2012 International League Playoffs (all series are best 3 out of 5) will begin on September 5th. If the PawSox finish the season in 1st-place in the IL North they would host Games 3, 4, and 5 of the first round of the playoffs at McCoy on Friday, September 7 at 7:05 pm; Saturday, September 8 at 6:05 pm; and Sunday, September 9 at 6:05 pm (the final two games if necessary). If the PawSox finish as the IL wild card they would host Games 1 & 2 of the first round of the playoffs on Wednesday, September 5 at 7:05 pm and Thursday, September 6 at 7:05 pm at McCoy.

If Pawtucket were to win that series, they would then be home at McCoy for Games 1 and 2 of the Governors' Cup Finals on Tuesday, September 11 at 7:05 pm and Wednesday, September 12 at 7:05 pm. The final three games of that series would be at the IL West/IL South winner.

And if the PawSox win the Governors' Cup they would take on the Pacific Coast League champion in the Triple-A Baseball National Championship Game to be held on September 18 in Durham, NC.

When the PawSox are playing at home the Box Office at McCoy is open Monday - Sunday from 9:00 am until the end of the game. When the club is on the road the Box Office is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
