2013 High School & College Schedule

Games Include College Matchups & High School Events

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Indians will host several local college and high school games at Victory Field during the 2013 season. This year's slate of contests includes Anderson University vs. IPFW University, Butler University vs. Xavier University and Franklin College vs. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as well as three annual High School events in the Victory Field Classic, presented by the Indiana National Guard, the City and County High School Championships and the Indiana High School Athletics Association State Finals.

Below is the full schedule of games:
 

Anderson vs. IPFW    Mon., April 1        6:00 p.m.
Victory Field Classic    Sat., April 13        5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.
Franklin vs. Rose-Hulman    Tues., April 16        6:00 p.m.
City & County Championships    Thurs., May 9        5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.
Butler vs. Xavier    Sat., May 18        2:00 p.m.
IHSAA State Finals    Fri., June 14        7:30 p.m.
     Sat., June 15        1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m.

 

Anderson and IFPW will kick off the season's schedule of games in a matchup between in-state schools at Victory Field on April 1 at 6:00 p.m. Just two weeks later, Franklin and Rose-Hulman will battle on the diamond on April 16 at 6:00 p.m. The series of college contests at Victory Field will then conclude on May 18 at 2:00 p.m. with an Atlantic-10 meeting between Xavier and Butler.

Returning for the sixth consecutive year is the Tribe's annual Victory Field Classic, presented by the Indiana National Guard, which pits four of the state's top high school teams against each other in a doubleheader on April 13. The first game of the twin-bill features Fishers vs. Mount Vernon and is set for 5:30 p.m., and the double header will conclude with Greenfield-Central against Greenwood Community, beginning no earlier than 7:30 p.m.

Victory Field will also host the City and County High School Championships on May 9, as well as the IHSAA State Finals from June 14-15. Each championship game features a matchup between two of Indiana's top high school squads, and details regarding the participating teams will be released once the tournament fields are set. City and County Championship games on May 9 will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the second contest starting no earlier than 7:30 p.m. The State Finals will begin with one game on June 14 at 7:30 p.m., and matchups on June 15 are scheduled throughout the day for 1:00, 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
