BBQ Bobblehead Giveaway, Fredbird, & Final Fireworks Extravaganza Highlight Five-Game Homestand

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park on Friday, August 16, for their final homestand of the season, a crucial five-game series against the division-leading Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A Royals). A BBQ Bobblehead giveaway, two appearances by St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird, Fan Appreciation Night, FedEx Racing Night, and the final fireworks extravaganza of the 2013 season highlight the five-game homestand.

Friday, August 16 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • BBQ Bobblehead Giveaway: The first 3,000 fans through the gates will receive a unique BBQ Bobblehead, courtesy of the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau.
  • Fredbird Appearance: St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird will be invading Memphis to entertain fans and sign autographs at AutoZone Park.
  • Bartlett Night At The Ballpark: The Redbirds and Commercial Appeal will be celebrating the city of Bartlett at AutoZone Park. Fans can view the Bartlett Weekly for ticket discounts and register pre-game for a chance to win a big screen TV.
  • Jack Clark Autograph Session: Four-time National League All-Star Jack Clark will make a special appearance and sign autographs on the plaza from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at AutoZone Park, presented by the Commercial Appeal.
  • Coors Light Block Party: Every Friday, gates open early for a Block Party featuring 16oz. Coors Lights for $2 and live music from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
  • Fred's Family Friday: Fans can save up to $30 on Dugout seats at all Friday Redbirds home games after spending $15 at fred's Super Dollar. Bring your fred's Super Dollar store receipt to the Redbirds box office and receive a $5 discount per ticket. (Limit 6 tickets per receipt)

Saturday, August 17 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • FedEx Racing Night & Fireworks: NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin's #11 racecar will be at the ballpark to deliver a commemorative game ball. The final fireworks extravaganza of the 2013 season will follow the action on the field, courtesy of FedEx Racing.
  • Fredbird Appearance: St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird will be invading Memphis to entertain fans and sign autographs at AutoZone Park.
  • Signature Saturday: Select Redbird players will sign autographs in the plaza from 5:00-5:30 p.m.

Sunday, August 18 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • Top Prospects Photo Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative photo of St. Louis Cardinals top prospects, featuring pitcher Michael Wacha, second baseman Kolten Wong, and outfielder Oscar Taveras, presented by Strayer University.
  • Fan Appreciation Night: Fun activities are planned all night long while fans have opportunities to win numerous giveaways every inning, including autographed memorabilia.
  • Kids Run The Bases: Kids 12 and under get to take the field after the game and run like the Redbirds, sponsored by TennDent and Shelby County Health Department.

Monday, August 19 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • EAT MOR CHIKIN Monday: Fans can receive $6 off the gameday ticket price at the box office when presenting a Chick-fil-A value meal receipt. (Limit 4 tickets per transaction)
  • Malibu Monday: On Mondays at AutoZone Park, fans can purchase a Field Box ticket and a Malibu can cocktail for only $19, or a Club Level ticket and a Malibu can cocktail for only $24.

Tuesday, August 20 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:02 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • "Two"-sday: The Redbirds' regular season home finale will be another exciting "Two"-sday, featuring $2 hot dogs, sodas, and popcorn, 2-for-1 ticket specials at the Box Office, special in-game giveaways, and $2 off Budweiser draft products.
