Tides announce 2014 schedule
The Norfolk Tides today announced their 2014 schedule and game times. The 2014 campaign will begin on Thursday, April 3 with a 7:05 contest against the Charlotte Knights.
The 2014 season will be Norfolk's 46th in the International League, the 22nd at Harbor Park and the eighth as the Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The schedule features 12 Saturday night contests and 11 weekday Business Specials, with the Tides announcing specific gameday promotions throughout the offseason.
"After a great year in 2013, our entire organization has already started preparing for an even better season next year" said Tides General Manager Joe Gregory. "With the dates and times of our games now set, we can work on finalizing the exciting events and promotions that make coming out to Harbor Park such a special experience."
The Tides will once again play a 144-game schedule, with 64 games against the South Division, 48 games against the North Division and 32 games against the International League West Division. Norfolk finished its 2013 campaign with a 77-67 record, its best mark since 2005.
