(MANCHESTER, N.H.) - CF Kenny Wilson knocked in the lone run with a single in the sixth inning, giving the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (17-32) a 1-0 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs (33-16) on Sunday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The loss snapped Portland's season-high seven-game winning streak, and gave New Hampshire their first win of the series.

LHP Brian Johnson (3-1) suffered the tough-luck loss, tying a career-high with seven innings pitched. Johnson scattered four hits on one run, one walk and two strikeouts. In the sixth, RF Matt Newman led off with a double, advanced to third on a groundout and scored on Wilson's single.

Randy Boone worked around a two-out single by Heiker Meneses in the ninth inning to notch his second save of the season.

Portland had six hits, but left eight runners on base, going 0-for-10 with runners-in-scoring position. DH Sean Coyle and RF Peter Hissey each had two hits for Portland.

Portland reliever Jose Valdez pitched a scoreless eighth with a strikeout. With a win on Monday afternoon, the 'Dogs will take their fourth road series of the season.
