National Anthem Auditions Slated For March 14th At Greer Stadium

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds will conduct tryouts at Greer Stadium over the next three weekends (Feb. 28-March 14) for national anthem singers, promotional team members and other open game-day positions.

On February 28, auditions will be held for the openings of PA announcer and on-field emcee. The following Saturday, March 7, will include tryouts for promotional team members. Both events will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greer Stadium. Individuals applying for the positions should have prior experience and be able to commit to a majority of the Sounds' home schedule.   

The audition for national anthem singers will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 14. All individuals and groups who are interested in singing "The Star Spangled Banner" prior to a 2015 home game at First Tennessee Park must audition on this date, including all parties who have sung prior to a game in previous years.

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and auditions will begin at 8:30 a.m. All tryout participants must appear in person at Greer Stadium by 12:30 p.m. to be registered.

For convenience and to save time on the audition date, interested parties should download the registration form then fill it out and bring it with them to the ballpark on March 14.

The Sounds host 72 games at brand-new First Tennessee Park in 2015, beginning with the 7:05 p.m. home opener against Colorado Springs on Friday, April 17th.
