Hey Sky Sox Fans,
Welcome back inside the ballpark for your VIP look at each month of the Sky Sox promotions calendar. This week, we'll be giving you an in-depth look at the Month of July. We've got a whole lot that's finalized, but there are still a few ideas yet to put in stone. It's a big schedule, and a whole lot of entertainment to get together for all of you fans, keep in mind one or two things may change. We hope you enjoy the inside look at what we're doing. Saturday, July 4th, 7:05PM - Independence Day Celebration with July 4th Fireworks!
Independence Day is always a special day no matter where you are in America. However, celebrating July 4th at a ballpark has a special feeling to it and we couldn't be happier to be at home on the 4th this season! Thanks to our friends at RMC Coors and Midas, in addition to bringing southern Colorado the best fireworks show offered on Independence day, we're bringing back one of our favorite traveling mascot entertainers, "Reggy!" Reggy is an incredible entertainer but becomes even more-so when you know his back story. Reggy was conceived of by the original Philly Phenatic. We can't wait to see everyone on the 4th it's going to be a premier day!
Sunday, July 5th, 1:35PM - 50 cent hot dog Sunday and….
We know that every Sunday at Security Service Field features 50 cent hot dogs available all game long. We're also cooking up another cool idea…. But we promise, it's not on hot dog rollers.
Monday, July 6th, 7:05PM - Kids Eat Free Monday/Must Win Monday
There's nothing like a fun night out at the ballpark and on Monday you get a real bang for your buck! Every kiddo 12 and under into the ballpark with a paid ticket gets a free kid's meal of a hot dog, a bag of chips and a soda. Also, new for 2015 we'll be having "Must Win Mondays" every Monday this season! This brand new promotion is all about winning, both for the Sky Sox and for YOU! If the Sky Sox win on this Monday game, your tickets are then valid for any other Monday game for the remainder of the 2015 season. So come on out to the ballpark and root for the Sky Sox and potentially your freebee ticket!
Tuesday, July 7th, 7:05PM - South Colorado Springs Nissan $2 Tuesday
Got $6 Handy? You can get a box seat ticket, park your car and have an ice cold Coors or Coors light draft while you watch the game. It's still the best deal in baseball! ($2 tickets, $2 parking, and $2 Coors and Coors Light drafts!)
Wednesday, July 8th, 7:05PM - Bark In The Bark
This Security Service Field staple makes its first appearance in July for the 2015 season! The first 500 well behaved dogs (as determined by our good friends at the Colorado Springs Humane Society) will be allowed out on to the grass perm with their human friends to enjoy the game! (Note to Sox The Fox: you're not allowed on the berm on this day!)
Thursday, July 9th, 7:05PM - Security Service Field Artist Drawn Poster Giveaway
This is a completely different kind of giveaway than we've ever done at the ballpark before. We've contracted an incredibly talented artist to hand draw us a fun representation of a night at the ballpark. We will then be giving away 1,000 18"x24" copies of the original, full color drawing to the first 1,000 fans through the gate. Be sure to come out to the ballpark and pick up this completely unique giveaway item!
Friday, July 10th, 7:05PM - Friday Night Fireworks
Friday July 10th marks another great Friday night Fireworks show! We're going to have a great music theme with CD giveaways on this night as well. We'll have another excellent theme on this night with CD giveaways to select fans as well. We'll keep you posted on this as well when we have items in house.
Saturday, July 11th, 6:05PM - Used Car Giveaway!
We're excited to bring back this annual event presented by Security Service Federal Credit Union. We will be GIVING AWAY at least nine cars throughout game as well as at least nine $100 bills to be used for gasoline or whatever you choose! All you have to do is sign up at the front gate and let us know you're here. The cars that will be given away will be on display a couple of days prior here at the ballpark and will be featured on Sky Sox social media. This day will also feature guest emcees Goose & Woody from the Peak 92.9 morning show.
Sunday, July 12th, 1:35PM - Charity Jersey Auction to benefit The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank/Donate Life AND The first ever DAYTIME FIREWORKS SHOW!
This is a date that you don't want to miss! We're bringing back our good friends at the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank/Donate Life for their annual charity jersey auction with all Sky Sox players, coaches, Manager Rick Sweet and even Sox The Fox wearing a custom Sky Sox jersey. We're still finalizing the design, but it's going to be awesome, we promise! The players will wear the jerseys on game day, autograph them as they take them off, and they are then available for bid in a post-game auction with all proceeds to benefit The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank/Donate Life. AND we will be having our first ever DAYTIME FIREWORKS SHOW! Sound different? It is! Using a completely different system, our fireworks company will put on a colorful display that will paint a fully lit sky, all set to a music theme, just like our Fridays.
Monday, July 20th, 7:05PM - Kids Eat Free Monday/Must Win Monday
Just think, if you came to our previous "Must Win Monday" on July 6th and the Sky Sox won, you could be at this game for free! Also, just all Monday night games, all kiddo's 12 and under get a free kid's meal with a paid ticket thanks to "Kid's Eat Free Mondays" with Arc Thrift Stores!
Tuesday, July 21st, 7:05PM - SCSN $2 Tuesday
You only need eight quarters for a Sky Sox ticket on Tuesday nights. Quick! Let's go hunt in the couch!
Wednesday, July 22nd, 12:35PM - Matinee Game with Celebrity Mascots "The Inflatamaniacs"
It's been a few years since we've had the foursome of mascots knows as "The Inflatamaniacs" out to the ballpark, and it's about time we had them back! This traveling mascot act puts on an incredible show, and will be performing several inning breaks during the game. We suggest putting that "lunch meeting" on your calendar soon.
Thursday, July 23rd, 7:05PM - Military Appreciation Night
Thursday, July 23rd marks our fourth Military Appreciation Night. This installment will be presented by Phil Long Dealerships. For this one, those who serve out at any of our Military bases will be able to pick up complimentary tickets on base while those of us not in the service can say thank you!
So there you have it! July has some incredible days on it that you don't want to miss. Individual tickets go on sale on March 16th, be sure to get your computers ready to get the best seats for these games.
