Its time to 'Meet the Kernels' on April 7th!

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels host the annual 'Meet the Kernels' night on Tuesday, April 7^th starting at 5:00 PM. The event is FREE to the public, with food and beverage available for purchase. The Kernels Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop will be open showcasing NEW merchandise for the 2015 season as well as the Kernels Ticket Office so fans can purchase tickets to all 70 Kernel home games, including Opening Day on Sunday, April 12^th vs. Beloit at 4:05 PM.

The 2015 Kernels will mix and mingle with fans from 5:15 to 7:00 PM. A short program begins at 7:00 PM as Kernels' manager Jake Mauer will introduce the team and talk briefly about the upcoming season. Then the Kernels will conduct a short workout under the lights at Perfect Game Field, (weather permitting) which is open to the public. Meet the Kernels Night will be held, rain or shine.

Tickets to all 70 Kernel home games, season ticket packages, and 10-game Anytime Coupon Books, are available through the Kernels Ticket Office and on-line at www.kernels.com. Ticket Office hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday.

The 2015 Kernels arrive in Cedar Rapids on Monday, April 6^th. The Kernels open the 2015 MWL season on Thursday, April 9^th at Kane County and the 2015 Home Opener is Sunday, April 12^th when the Kernels host the Beloit Snappers at 4:05 pm.
