Bubba Watson Set For Fun With Blue Wahoos
PENSACOLA, Fla., - Team co-owner Bubba Watson will attend four Blue Wahoos games beginning on Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 to meet with fans, work different jobs at Bayfront Stadium and participate in a pregame dunk tank!
This marks his first Blue Wahoos game since becoming a co-owner of the team in January of 2015. From the outset, Watson has shown desire to learn and contribute to the team's operation. At his introductory press conference, he expressed desire to learn about the different jobs and positions at the Blue Wahoos and wanting to experience them.
Watson will have his chance beginning Friday night when the Pensacola Blue Wahoos take on the Jackson Generals, affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, beginning at 6:36 p.m.
On Saturday before the game, Watson and owner Quint Studer will partake in a dunk tank out front of the stadium. Fans will have a chance to dunk both of them from 5:30-6:30 for a donation. Donations will go to the YMCA in Pensacola. Watson has stated that he will match the funds raised during the hour long event.
On Monday, Watson will sign autographs for fans during the third inning on the main concourse.
Throughout the four days, you will be able to spot Watson around the ballpark working various jobs.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance due to high demands of these games.
