Waldrop Promoted To Louisville

Kyle Waldrop's first game with the Bats will mark his Triple-A debut.

PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Cincinnati Reds have announced the following roster changes for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. OF Kyle Waldrop has been promoted to Triple-A Louisville Bats after 133 games with Pensacola

The Reds' No. 12 prospect will make his Triple-A debut in his first game with the Bats. Louisville is currently on the road taking on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Waldrop, who just competed in the Southern League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, is hitting .277 this season, second-highest behind Ray Chang. He leads the teams in hits (67), doubles (13), home runs (6) and RBIs (31). He is tied for the third-most runs on the team (21).

He split last season between Single-A Bakersfield Blaze and Pensacola. He hit .359 in Bakersfield and .315 in Pensacola.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos now have 24 active players on the roster.
