Homestand Highlights: July 24-31

Trio Of Giveaways, Christmas In July, & STAR WARS® Night Highlight Action-Packed Eight-Game Homestand

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds return to the Bluff City on Friday to open an eight-game homestand against the Iowa Cubs (Triple-A Cubs) and Oklahoma City Dodgers (Triple-A Dodgers) at AutoZone Park.

Highlighting the week's worth of promotions will be two premium St. Louis Cardinals giveaways, a Jacob Wilson Redbirds t-shirt giveaway, STAR WARS® Night, one postgame fireworks extravaganza, and "Christmas In July" - a special evening at the ballpark during which the Redbirds will wear festive, specialty Christmas-themed jerseys on the field.

Friday, July 24 vs. Iowa Cubs at 7:05 p.m.(gates open at 5 p.m.)

  • Jacob Wilson Redbirds T-Shirt Jersey Giveaway: The Redbirds are giving away 2,000 Redbirds t-shirt jerseys, featuring Bartlett native and former Memphis Tigers star Jacob Wilson, sponsored by Campbell Clinic.
  • Block Party: Every Friday, come out to AutoZone Park and enjoy not only a great baseball game but also a fun pregame Block Party. Gates open at 5 p.m., two hours before first pitch, for a special end-of-the-week Block Party featuring select $2 domestic drafts and live music from the Chinese Connection Dub Embassy.
  • MLBPAA Silent Auction: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a silent auction behind home plate on the concourse that includes autographed memorabilia from current and former players.

Saturday, July 25 vs. Iowa Cubs at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.)

  • Postgame Fireworks: A spectacular fireworks extravaganza with music from the Rockin' Holidays will follow the game. Ho! Ho! Ho!
  • Christmas In July: Why wait until December? Celebrate "Christmas in July" with the Redbirds at AutoZone Park. Fans who purchase this special theme ticket will receive a commemorative Christmas ornament sporting the new Redbirds logo. Tickets are $19 for Dugout and $16 for Field Box. Tis the Season!
  • Christmas Sweater Jersey Auction: As part of the special evening, the Redbirds will be wearing festive, special-edition, Christmas-themed jerseys. Fans can come away with a jersey by participating in a silent auction from gates open until the end of the sixth inning. Auction winners will be taken onto the field to retrieve their purchased jersey from the player following the game. Proceeds will benefit the Redbirds RBI Program.
  • Equipment Drive: The Redbirds will be collecting new and use baseball equipment for the club's RBI program. Fans who donate a piece of equipment that night will receive a ticket voucher valid for any Sunday-Thursday Redbirds game in August or September this season.
  • MLBPAA Silent Auction: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a silent auction behind home plate on the concourse that includes autographed memorabilia from current and former players.

Sunday, July 26 vs. Iowa Cubs at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.)

  • Prairie Farms Ice Cream Sunday: The first 2,500 kids ages 12 and under will receive a free ice cream treat before the game, courtesy of Prairie Farms Dairy.
  • Kids Run the Bases: Kids ages 12 and under get to take the field and run like the Redbirds following the game.
  • MLBPAA Silent Auction: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a silent auction behind home plate on the concourse that includes autographed memorabilia from current and former players.
  • Burger King Whopper Promotion: Upon exiting the ballpark, Redbirds fans in attendance will receive a coupon for a free Whopper with the purchase of a medium french fries and drink, courtesy of Burger King.

Monday, July 27 vs. Iowa Cubs at 7 p.m. (gates open at 6 p.m.)

  • STAR WARS® Night:  May the Force be with you as the Redbirds host a night full of STAR WARS® fun and excitement. Dress up as your favorite STAR WARS® character and be a part of the STAR WARS® invasion at AutoZone Park. STAR WARS® themed sights and sounds, character appearances, photo opportunities, and more will all take place.
  • Le Bonheur Children's Hospital Ticket Donation: The Redbirds will donate $4 of Dugout ($19) and Field Box ($16) ticket back to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital when fans purchase this specialty theme ticket.

Tuesday, July 28 vs. Oklahoma City Dodgers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6 p.m.)

  • King Cotton $1 Hot Dogs: Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs at AutoZone Park on Tuesday, courtesy of King Cotton.

Wednesday, July 29 vs. Oklahoma City Dodgers at 11:35 a.m. (gates open at 10:30 a.m.)

  • Summer Camp Day: A number of different summer camps from the Mid-South area will be enjoying this matinee game and so should you. Take an extended lunch break and come on down to AutoZone Park.
  • Burger King Whopper Promotion: Upon exiting the ballpark, Redbirds fans in attendance will receive a coupon for a free Whopper with the purchase of a medium french fries and drink, courtesy of Burger King.

Thursday, July 30 vs. Oklahoma City Dodgers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6 p.m.)

  • Ozzie Smith Bobblehead Giveaway: 1,500 fans are sure to "GO CRAZY" over receiving their very own one-of-a-kind St. Louis Cardinals bobblehead of the iconic Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith.
  • College Night: Every Thursday home game, college students can purchase $5 Left Field TruGreen Bluff tickets at the box office on gamedays (with a valid college ID). $2 domestic drafts will be available for purchase at the Left Field Bar throughout the game.   

Friday, July 31 vs. Oklahoma City Dodgers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.)

  • St. Louis Cardinals Replica 1982 World Series Ring Giveaway: 1,500 fans can relive the excitement of the 1982 World Series by collecting a wearable 1982 St. Louis Cardinals World Series Championship replica ring.
  • Block Party: Every Friday, come out to AutoZone Park and enjoy not only a great baseball game but also a fun pregame Block Party. Gates open at 5 p.m., two hours before first pitch, for a special end-of-the-week Block Party featuring select $2 domestic drafts and live music from Dr. Zarr's Amazing Funk Monster.

Following the homestand, the Redbirds embark on their longest road trip of the season, a 13-game, 14-day road swing through the Round Rock Express (Triple-A Rangers), cross-state rival Nashville Sounds (Triple-A Athletics), and Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A Royals). Baseball returns to AutoZone Park on Saturday, August 15 for another eight-game homestand.
